David Buckley (The Good WifeThe Forbidden KingdomPapillonThe Gifted) has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix original series The Stranger. The show is created by Harlan Coben (Safe, The Five) based on his best-selling novel and stars Richard Armitage, Hannah John-Kamen, Siobhan Finneran, Jennifer Saunders, Anthony Head and Stephen Rea. The 8-part thriller follows a family man on a desperate quest to uncover the truth about the people closest to him. Coben is also producing the Red Production Company production with Nicola Shindler (Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax), Danny Brocklehurst (The Five) and Richard Fee (Safe). The Stranger is set to be released later this year on Netflix.

As previously reported, Buckley also has the action thriller Angel Has Fallen (to be released on August 23), the animated feature Arctic Justice (currently scheduled for a release on November 8) and the CBS drama Evil (premiering on September 26) coming up. He also continues to score CBS All Access’ The Good Fight, which will return for a fourth season in 2020.
