Joel J Richard (John Wick series, Quantico, Triple Threat) has composed the music for the eleventh episode of the Hulu anthology series Into the Dark. The episode, entitled School Spirit, is directed by Mike Gan (Burn), written by Gan, Patrick Casy & Josh Miller (Sonic the Hedgehog, Dorm Daze) and stars Corey Fogelmanis, Annie Q., Jessi Case, Julian Works, Philip Labes and Hugo Armstrong. The Jim Henson Company and Music.Film Recordings have released a new soundtrack album for the sci-fi series Farscape. The album features selections of the show’s original music from the show composed by Subvision and Guy Gross (The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, A Few Best Men), including a few unreleased tracks from the series’ cutting room floor. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. A vinyl version, which features artwork, a collectable poster insert, by illustrator Joe Corroney, including a collectible poster insert, and liner notes with new interviews with the composers, creator Rockne O’Bannon and executive producer Brian Henson, is available exclusively at Barnes & Noble. Evgueni Galperine & Sacha Galperine (Loveless, The Family, The Wizard of Lies, Nine Lives) have been tapped to score the upcoming drama Persian Lessons. The film is directed by Vadim Perelman (The House of Sand and Fog, The Life Before Her Eyes) and stars Nahuel Perez Biscayart and Lars Eidinger. The movie set in Occupied France in 1942 centers on the relationship between a man who is arrested by the SS alongside other Jews and sent to a concentration camp in Germany and the head of the camp who dreams of opening a restaurant in Iran once the war is over. Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the action comedy Stuber directed by Michael Dowse and starring Kumail Nanjiani, Dave Bautista, Iko Uwais, Natalie Morales, Betty Gilpin, Jimmy Tatro, Mira Sorvino and Karen Gillan. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, The Greatest Showman, The Raid series, Arctic). Also opening wide is the horror thriller Crawl written and directed by Alexandre Aja and starring Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper. Max Aruj & Steffen Thum (iBoy, Warning Shot) have composed the film’s original music. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Genius, Home) serves as the project’s score producer. Soundtrack Album for Dan Gabriel’s ‘Mosul’ Documentary to Be Released

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Mosul. The album features the film’s original music written by Grammy-nominated British record producer and composer Photek (How to Get Away with Murder, Station 19, Gang Related). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, July 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Mosul is directed by Dan Gabriel and follows a diverse group of militias and security forces with conflicting interests which banded together in 2016 to free Mosul and its population of 1.3 million from the harsh rule of ISIS.
