Premiering on Wednesday, December 23 is the period drama Sylvie’s Love written and directed by Eugene Ashe and starring Tessa Thompson, Nnamdi Asomugha, Eva Longoria, Aja Naomi Kin, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Jemima Kirke. The film’s original music is composed by Fabrice Lecomte. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on Wednesday. The full album details will posted on this page within the next couple of days. The drama premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime.
Premiering on Friday, December 25 is the animated feature Soul directed by Pete Docter and starring Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Ahmir Questlove Thompson, Phylicia Rashad and Daveed Diggs. Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl, Mank) have composed the film’s original score and Jon Batiste has provided original jazz compositions and arrangements.
