MovieScore Media has released the first-ever soundtrack albums for two films directed by William Mesa and featuring music composed and conducted by Christopher L. Stone (Walker, Texas Ranger, TaleSpin, Phantasm II, Swamp Thing, Phantasm IV: Oblivion, Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead): the 1997 sci-fi adventure DNA starring Mark Dacascos & Jürgen Prochnow and the 1995 sci-fi action movie Galaxis starring Brigitte Nielsen, Richard Moll & Craig Fairbrass. Both the DNA and Galaxis soundtracks are now available to stream/download on all major digital music services. Also listen to the main title track from each release after the jump. Quartet Records will release CD versions in the coming weeks.

Weekly TV Music Roundup (December 20, 2020)
Premiering on Wednesday, December 23 is the period drama Sylvie’s Love written and directed by Eugene Ashe and starring Tessa Thompson, Nnamdi Asomugha, Eva Longoria, Aja Naomi Kin, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Jemima Kirke. The film’s original music is composed by Fabrice Lecomte. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on Wednesday. The full album details will posted on this page within the next couple of days. The drama premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime.
Premiering on Friday, December 25 is the animated feature Soul directed by Pete Docter and starring Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Ahmir Questlove Thompson, Phylicia Rashad and Daveed Diggs. Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl, Mank) have composed the film’s original score and Jon Batiste has provided original jazz compositions and arrangements. Walt Disney Records has released a digital soundtrack featuring the score, the jazz music and the songs from the movie (click here for the full album details) and has also released two separate vinyl soundtracks featuring the score and Batiste’s jazz music (click here for more details). Soul will be available to stream exclusively on Disney+.
‘DNA’ (‘ADN’) Soundtrack Released
22D Music & Why Not Productions have released a soundtrack album for the French drama DNA (ADN). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Quills, Billy Elliott, Proof, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio clips. DNA is co-written and directed by Maïwenn who also stars the movie, alongside Fanny Ardant, Louis Garrel, Alain Françon, Marine Vacth, Dylan Robert, Caroline Chaniolleau, Henri-Noël Tabary and Omar Marwan. The drama centers on a woman with close ties to a beloved Algerian grandfather who protected her from a toxic home life as a child.
