L’R Du Tresor has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the 2015 French romantic drama My King (Mon roi) co-written and directed by Maïwenn and starring Vincent Cassel, Emmanuelle Bercot and Louis Garell. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Billy Elliott, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, Quills, Proof, Indian Summers) who received a Cesar Award nomination for his work on the project. Stephen Warbeck has recently composed the music for the upcoming French romantic drama Mon Roi. The film is directed by Maïwenn and stars Vincent Cassel, Emmanuelle Bercot and Louis Garell. The movie follows a woman healing from a passionate but self-destructive love story. Maïwenn is directing the film and also co-wrote the screenplay with Etienne Comar (Of Gods and Men, Haute Cuisine). Alain Attal (Tell No One, The Concert, Little White Lies) is producing the project. Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Quills, Billy Elliot) and Maïwenn have previously collaborated on 2011’s Polisse.
