Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Black Mass, Divergent, Alita: Battle Angel) has announced that he has composed the music for the new British Netflix original series White Lines. The show is created by Álex Pina (Money Heist, Kamikaze) and stars Laura Haddock, Nuno Lopes, Marta Milans, Juan Diego Botto, Daniel Mays, Laurence Fox and Angela Griffin. The drama follows a young woman who leaves her quiet life behind to investigate her brother’s disappearance in Ibiza, where she quickly heads down a decadent and dangerous path.

Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Belgian historical drama Thieves of the Wood. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Hans Mullens (Undercover) & Michelino Bisceglia (Marina, Hannah, Valentino) as Svínhunder. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Thieves of the Wood is developed by Christophe Dirickx & Benjamin Sprengers based on a novel by Louis Paul Boon and stars Matteo Simoni, Tom Van Dyck, Stef Aerts. The drama tells the story of charismatic highwayman Jan de Lichte as he leads the oppressed and downtrodden in a revolt against the corrupt aristocracy of 18th-century Flanders.
‘Defending Jacob’ Soundtrack Album Details
Paramount Music will release a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ limited series Defending Jacob. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Atli Örvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, The Edge of Seventeen, The Eagle). Also included is the series’ theme written by Ólafur Arnalds (Broadchurch). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 24 and will be available to stream/download on Apple Music/iTunes. Defending Jacob is created by Mark Bomback based on the 2012 novel of the same title by William Landay and stars Chris Evans, Michelle Dockery, Jaeden Martell, Pablo Schreiber, Cherry Jones, Betty Gabriel and Sakina Jaffrey. The 8-part thriller directed by Morten Tyldum centers on a shocking crime that rocks a small Massachusetts town, and follows an assistant district attorney who finds himself torn between his sworn duty to uphold justice and his unconditional love for his son.

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the BET original series Twenties. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Amanda Jones (Cherish the Day, Home). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 24 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Twenties is created by Lena Waithe and stars Jonica “Jojo” T. Gibbs, Christina Elmore and Gabrielle Graham. The comedy follows a screenwriter and her best friends as they chase their dreams in Los Angeles and try to figure out life, love and the professional world.

Mandy Hoffman Scoring Quibi’s ‘Dummy’
Mandy Hoffman (The Lovers, Terri, Hala, I Love Dick, Doll & Em) has composed the original music for the new Quibi original series Dummy. The show is directed by Tricia Brock, written by Cody Heller (Deadbeat) and stars Anna Kendrick and Donal Logue. The comedy is inspired by Heller’s relationship with her fiancé Dan Harmon and revolves around an aspiring-but-blocked writer who happens upon her boyfriend’s sex doll (voiced by Meredith Hagner) that suddenly starts talking to her.

Fernando Velazquez (The Impossible, The Orphanage, Crimson Peak, Hercules, Devil, A Monster Calls) has recently scored the new Showtime documentary The Longest War. The film is directed by Greg Barker (Manhunt: The Inside Story of the Hunt for Bin Laden, The Final Year) is a companion piece to the final season of Showtime’s Homeland and centers on the human stories and drama behind America’s involvement in Afghanistan, now the longest war in U.S. history. The movie will unpack the CIA’s long and morally complicated history in Taliban from the 1980s to the present through first-hand accounts of CIA officers and other U.S. key officials.
