WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix limited series Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker. The album features the show’s original music composed by Larry Goldings (Dealin’ with Idiots). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 17 and will be available to stream/download here. Self Made is created by Nicole Jefferson Asher and stars Octavia Spencer, Tiffany Haddish, Carmen Ejogo, Blair Underwood, Garrett Morris, Kevin Carroll and Bill Bellamy. The drama is inspired by A’Lelia Bundles’ book On Her Own Ground: The Life and Times of Madam C. J. Walker and tells the true story of an African American washerwoman who rises from poverty to build a beauty empire and become the first female self-made millionaire.

‘Little Fires Everywhere’ Soundtrack Album Details
The full details of the soundtrack album for the Hulu limited series Little Fires Everywhere have bee released. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, A River Runs Through It, Miracle, The Accountant) and Florence + the Machine’s Isabella Summers, including the composers’ main titles theme. Also included are the cover songs recorded for the drama and performed by Judith Hill, BELLSAINT, Ruby Amanfu, Lauren Ruth Ward and Ingrid Michaelson. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 17 by Hollywood Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the Riverdale special episode Hedwig and the Angry Inch the Musical. The album features the songs from the musical episode performed by cast members KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Madelaine Petsch, Cole Strouse, Marisol Nichols, Mark Consuelos, Martin Cummins, Skeet Ulrich, Charles Melton, Vanessa Morgan and Madchen Amick. The songs were originally written by Stephen Trask for the stage musical. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released multiple soundtracks featuring the songs and the original score from the series.
Emile Mosseri Tapped as Composer of Amazon’s ‘Homecoming’ Season 2
Composer Emile Mosseri (The Last Black Man in San Francisco) has joined the crew of the Amazon original series Homecoming. He is scoring the second season of the show created by Eli Horowitz & Micah Bloomberg and starring Janelle Monáe, Stephan James and Hong Chau (who reprising their roles from the first season), Chris Cooper and Joan Cusack. Kyle Patrick Alvarez (The Stanford Prison Experiment) is directing all episodes. Horowitz & Bloomberg are also executive producing the project with Julia Roberts, Sam Esmail & Chad Hamilton (Mr. Robot, Briarpatch), Alex Blumberg & Matt Lieber & Chris Giliberti (Alex, Inc.)
John Paesano to Score ‘Leonardo’ TV Series
John Paesano (Daredevil, The Maze Runner, When the Game Stands Tall, The Star) has been tapped to score the upcoming Leonardo. The show is created by Frank Spotnitz (The Man in the High Castle, The X-Files) & Steve Thompson (Jericho) and stars Aidan Turner in the title role of Leonardo da Vinci, as well as Freddie Highmore as a fictional young detective named Stefano Giraldo, Giancarlo Giannini as Leonardo’s master Andrea del Verrocchio and Matilda De Angelis as Caterina da Cremona, his dearest friend and mysterious muse. The drama tells the story of the 15th/16th century Italian genius. Daniel Percival (The Man in the High Castle) and Alexis Sweet are directing the limited series.

The show executive produced and directed by Liz Garbus (What Happened, Miss Simone?), Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side) & Roger Ross Williams (Life, Animated) tells the untold personal stories behind eight cases of wrongful conviction that the nonprofit organization the Innocence Project and organizations within the Innocence Network have uncovered and worked tirelessly to overturn.

Stephen Rennicks Scoring BBC/Hulu’s ‘Normal People’
Stephen Rennicks has composed the original score for the new BBC/Hulu limited series Normal People. The show is based on Sally Rooney’s New York Times best-selling novel of the same title and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal. The drama centers on the complicated relationship of Marianne and Connell from the end of their school days in a small town in the west of Ireland to their undergraduate years at Trinity College. Rooney is also executive producing the Element Pictures production with Alice Birch (Lady Macbeth), Mark O’Rowe (Boy A), Ed Guiney (The Favourite, The Lobster), Andrew Lowe (Shadow Dancer, Ripper Street), Emma Norton (Rosie), Anna Ferguson (A Discovery of Witches), as well as Lenny Abrahamson who also directed the first six episodes.

Joachim Horsley (Spirit Riding Free, Big City Greens, 2307: Winter’s Dream, Rapture-Palooza) is scoring the new ABC comedy drama The Baker and the Beauty. The show is developed by Dean Georgaris (The Meg, The Manchurian Candidate) based on the hit Israeli show created by Assi Azar and stars Victor Rasuk, Nathalie Kelley, Carlos Gómez, Dan Bucatinsky, Lisa Vidal, David Del Rio, Belissa Escobedo and Michelle Veintimilla. The series revolves around a blue-collar baker whose life moves into the spotlight when strikes up a relationship with an international superstar.
