WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix limited series Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker. The album features the show’s original music composed by Larry Goldings (Dealin’ with Idiots). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 17 and will be available to stream/download here. Self Made is created by Nicole Jefferson Asher and stars Octavia Spencer, Tiffany Haddish, Carmen Ejogo, Blair Underwood, Garrett Morris, Kevin Carroll and Bill Bellamy. The drama is inspired by A’Lelia Bundles’ book On Her Own Ground: The Life and Times of Madam C. J. Walker and tells the true story of an African American washerwoman who rises from poverty to build a beauty empire and become the first female self-made millionaire. The series premiered last month and is now available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
