Grammy Award-winning System Of A Down lead singer Serj Tankian and Vincent Pedulla have composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix original documentary series Hitler and the Nazis: Evil on Trial. The show is directed by Joe Berlinger (Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, Paradise Lost trilogy) and examines Adolf Hitler and the Nazis’ rise, rule and reckoning from pre-WWII to the Holocaust to the Nuremberg trials. The 6-parter explores the shocking rise and fall of Hitler and his enablers who were fueled through propaganda, censorship and a campaign of antisemitism through the framing of the trials and eyewitness testimony of American journalist William L. Shirer.

Cesar Davila-Irizarry, best known for his main titles theme for FX’s American Horror Story, has composed the theme music for Netflix’s Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel, the first season in a new docu-series that deconstructs the mythology and mystery surrounding infamous locations in contemporary crime. Wendy Blackstone (A Girl in the River, Lost in Florence, Criminal Passion) has provided the original score for the show’s first season, which is directed by Joe Berlinger (Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, Paradise Lost trilogy, Brother’s Keeper) and focuses on the Cecil Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, which has been linked to some of the city’s most notorious activity, from untimely deaths to housing serial killers, including the disappearance of college student Elisa Lam in 2013.

Marco Beltrami is composing the original music for the upcoming thriller Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. The film is directed by Joe Berlinger (Brother’s Keeper, Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2) and stars Zac Efron as Ted Bundy, alongside Lily Collins, Kaya Scodelario, John Malkovich, Haley Joel Osment, Jim Parsons, Terry Kinney and Dylan Baker. The movie tells the story of serial killer Ted Bunny from the perspective of his girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer, who struggled to accept the reality of her boyfriend’s nature. Michael Werwie wrote the screenplay.

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Intent to Destroy: Death, Denial & Depiction. The album features the film’s original music composed by Serj Tankian. Intent to Destroy is directed by Joe Berlinger (Paradise Lost, Brother’s Keeper) and explores the violent history of the Armenian Genocide and legacy of Turkish suppression and denial over the past century. The documentary premiere at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and was released in select theaters this past weekend by Abramorama.
