Music.Film Recordings & Lakeshore Records have released a soundtrack album for the political thriller Backstabbing for Beginners. The album features the film’s original score composed by Todor Kobakov (The Samaritan, Tricksters, Cardinal, Born to Be Blue, Sweetness in the Belly, Most Dangerous Game). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Backstabbing for Beginners is co-written and directed by Per Fly and stars Theo James, Ben Kingsley and Jacqueline Bisset. The movie is based on a true story and follows an idealistic young employee working at the UN as he investigates the grisly murder of his predecessor and uncovers a vast global conspiracy that may even involve his own boss.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British series All Creatures Great and Small written by Ben Vanstone based on the classic BBC programme, directed by Brian Percival and starring Nicholas Ralph, Samuel West, Anna Madeley, Callum Woodhouse and Rachel Shenton The show’s original music is composed by Alexandra Harwood (The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, The Escape, Growing Up Wild). All3Media & Playground Television have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score when the drama premiered in the UK last year. Also premiering today is the HBO documentary Tiger directed by Matthew Heineman & Matthew Hamachek about the rise, fall, and epic comeback of global icon Tiger Woods. H. Scott Salinas (The Banker, The Ballad of Lefty Brown, Warrior, Birth of the Dragon, Sea of Shadows) has composed the original music for the 2-parter. Soundtrack Album CBC’s & The CW’s ‘Trickster’ Released
A soundtrack album has been released for the CBC series Trickster. The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Todor Kobakov (The Samaritan, Born to Be Blue, Most Dangerous Game, Backstabbing for Beginners, Bitten). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Apple Music/iTunes, where you can also check out audio clips. Trickster is created by Michelle Latimer & Tony Elliott based on the bestselling novel Son of a Trickster by Eden Robinson and stars Joel Oulette, Crystle Lightning, Craig Lauzon, Kalani Queypo, Anna Lambe, Joel Thomas Hynes, Gail Maurice and Georgina Lightning. The drama follows an Indigenous teen struggling to keep his dysfunctional family above water whose already chaotic life is turned upside down when he starts seeing strange things – talking ravens, doppelgängers and skin monsters.

Todor Kobakov Scoring Quibi’s ‘Most Dangerous Game’
Todor Kobakov (The Samaritan, Born to Be Blue, Backstabbing for Beginners, Ransom, Bitten) is composing the original music for the new Quibi original series Most Dangerous Game. The show is created by Nick Santora (Scorpion, Prison Break) and stars Liam Hemsworth, Christoph Waltz, Sarah Gadon, Zach Cherry, Aaron Poole, Christopher Webster, Billy Burke and Natasha Bordizzo. The thriller centers on a man who – desperate to take care of his pregnant wife before a terminal illness can take his life – accepts an offer to participate in a deadly game where he soon discovers that he’s not the hunter, but the prey.

The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War directed by Joe & Anthony Russo and starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Josh Brolin and Chris Pratt. The television special’s music is composed by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (La La Land, The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen) based on their work on the Broadway musical of the same title. Todor Kobakov Scoring Per Fly’s ‘Backstabbing for Beginners’
Todor Kobakov is currently recording his score for the upcoming thriller Backstabbing for Beginners. The film is directed by Per Fly (The Inheritance, Monica Z) and stars Theo James, Ben Kingsley and Jacqueline Bisset. The movie follows a young idealist who lands his dream job as a program coordinator for the U.N.’s Oil for Food program and is thrown into a post-war Iraq where government agents and power-hungry nations are circling the country’s oil reserves. Fly also co-wrote the screenplay with Daniel Pyne (The Manchurian Candidate, Fracture, The Sum of All Fears), inspired by Michael Soussan’s memoir of the same title.
BET’s ‘Madiba’ to Feature Music by Todor Kobakov
Todor Kobabkov has been tapped to score the upcoming BET mini-series Madiba. The drama is directed by Kevin Hooks (Prison Break, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) and stars Laurence Fishburne as Nelson Mandela, alongside Orlando Jones, David Harewood, Michael Nyqvist and Terry Pheto. The 3-parter is based on two Mandela autobiographies, Conversations With Myself and Nelson Mandela by Himself and tells the story of a younger Nelson Mandela during the early-60s as he deals with the political unrest engulfing South Africa.
