Premiering on Tuesday, May 16, is the HBO original documentary series Angel City directed by Arlene Nelson about the LA-based professional women’s soccer team, Angel City Football Club (ACFC). The show’s original music is composed by Ezinma (Stranger at the Gate, The Times of Bill Cunningham). Dan Marocco Scoring Freevee’s ‘Primo’

The show is created by Shea Serrano and stars Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, Johnny Rey Diaz, Christina Vidal, Martin Martinez, Jonathan Medina, Henri Esteve, Nigel Siwabessy, Carlos Santos, Efrain Villa and Stakiah Lynn Washington. The coming-of-age comedy follows a wide-eyed teenager as he balances college aspirations, societal expectations, and a hectic home life on the south side of San Antonio.

Premiering in the U.S. is the World War II drama World on Fire written by Peter Bowker and starring Julia Brown, Yrsa Daley-Ward, Sean Bean, Lesley Manville, Jonah Hauer-King, Helen Hunt, Blake Harrison, Zofia Wichłacz, Brian J. Smith, Parker Sawyers, Tomasz Kot, Bruno Alexander, Patrick Kennedy, Johannes Zeiler and Eugénie Derouand. Dan Jones (On Chesil Beach, Shadow of the Empire, Any Human Heart, Lady Macbeth, The Miniaturist) has composed the show’s original music. Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the selections of the drama’s score. Also premiering tonight is the British drama The Windermere Children directed by Michael Samuels and starring Thomas Kretschmann, Romola Garai, Tim McInnerny, Iain Glen, Tomasz Studzinski, Anna Maciejewska, Kuba Sprenger, Marek Wrobelewski and Kacper Swietek. Alex Baranowski (Nureyev: Lifting the Curtain) has composed the film’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Dan Marocco (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Demonic, Brotherhood, NTSF:SD:SUV) is scoring the upcoming Quibi original series Flipped. The show is created by Steve Mallory (The Boss) & Damon Jones and stars Will Forte, Kaitlin Olson, Eva Longoria, Arturo Castro and Andy Garcia. The comedy follows a chronically underemployed couple and self-proclaimed home renovation “experts” whose dreams of basic cable fame and glory are derailed when they get themselves kidnapped by members of a drug cartel and are forced to renovate their sprawling homes.

Two new movies opening nationwide this weekend:

Expected to top the weekend box office is the biblical epic Noah directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins and Logan Lerman. Clint Mansell who previously scored all of the director’s features including Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, Pi, Black Swan and The Wrestler has composed the film’s original music. Nonesuch Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the score by the composer who collaborated with the Kronos Quartet on the project. Also included is the original song Mercy Is performed by Patti Smith. For the full album details, check out our previous article. Also opening wide is the action thriller Sabotage directed by David Ayer and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Olivia Williams, Mireille Enos, Sam Worthingtonq, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Joe Manganiello, Max Martini and Josh Holloway. The film’s original score is composed by David Sardy (21, Zombieland, Premium Rush) who previously collaborated with Sardy on 2012’s End of Watch. No soundtrack album has been announced. Sabotage follows an elite DEA task force that takes on the world’s deadliest drug cartels. The movie is being released by Open Road Films. ‘Boys of Abu Ghraib’ Soundtrack Released

Wishing Well Pictures has released a soundtrack album for the thriller Boys of Abu Ghraib. The soundtrack features the film’s original score composed by Dan Marocco (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), as well as the original song Remember Me written the composer and performed by Patrick Josep. Also included are other songs from the film by The Broken Vibe, Audio Conduit, Mike 13 and Noyola. The album is now available to download on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. The Boys of Abu Ghraib is written and directed by Luke Moran who also stars in the film alongside Omid Abtahi, John Heard, Michael Welch, Elijah Kelley, John Robinson, Sara Paxton, Scott Patterson and Sean Astin. The movie follows a soldier from small town America to Iraq’s most infamous prison, Abu Ghraib, where he’s tasked with guarding the Army’s highest priority detainees.

Premiering tomorrow, September 16, on Fox is the new mystery adventure drama Sleepy Hollow created by Alex Kurtzman & Bob Orci (Star Trek, Transformers), Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard) & Phillip Iscove and starring Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie, Orlando Jones, John Cho and Katia Winter. Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Fast Five, Now You See Me) is composing the score for the series, which is based on The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow and follows Ichabod Crane as he partners with Sleepy Hollow’s Detective Abbie Archer to solve the mysteries of a town ravaged by the battle between good and evil. Dan Marocco is currently scoring the upcoming Fox comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The show is created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur (Parks and Recreation) and stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Melissa Fumero, Terry Crews, Joe Lo Truglio, Stephanie Beatriz and Chelsea Peretti. The show centers around a diverse group of detectives at a New York precinct. The Universal Television production is executive produced by Goor, Schur and David Miner (30 Rock). Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) have directed the pilot episode. Brooklyn Nine-Nine is set to premiere on September 17, 2013 and will air every Tuesday night on Fox.
