James L. Venable (Scary Movie 3, 4 & 5, Samurai Jack, EuroTrip, The Powerpuff Girls) is returning as the composer of the upcoming comedy sequel Clerks III. The film is written and directed by Kevin Smith and stars Brian O’Halloran, Jeff Anderson, Trevor Fehrman, Jason Mewes, Austin Zajur, Rosario Dawson, Marilyn Ghigliotti, as well as Smith himself. The movie follows Randal who – after experiencing a massive heart attack – enlists his friends and fellow clerks to make a movie immortalizing his life at the convenience store that started it all. Smith is also producing the project with Liz Destro (Life of Crime, Lizzie) and Jordan Monsanto (Yoga Hosers).

‘Jay and Silent Bob Reboot’ Soundtrack Details
eOne Music will release the official soundtrack album for the comedy Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. The album features the songs from the movie by artists such as Q Lazzarus, REO Speedwagon, Squirtgun, Moby Rich, Nappy Roots & others, as well as tracks by Smith himself & the film’s composer James L. Venable (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Scary Movie 3, EuroTrip). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on October 18, 2019. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version. James and Silent Bob Reboot is written and directed by Kevin Smith and stars the filmmaker himself, alongside Jason Mewes and also features appearances by Smith regulars, including Jason Lee, Brian O’Halloran, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

The comedy follows the title characters as they discover that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them and decide to embark on another cross-country mission to stop it all over again. Jordan Monsanto (Yoga Hosers) and Liz Destro (Life of Crime, The Little Hours) are producing the project.

The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War directed by Joe & Anthony Russo and starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Josh Brolin and Chris Pratt. The film’s original music is composed by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump). Opening in limited release is the romantic drama Disobedience co-written and directed by Sebastián Lelio and starring Rachel Weisz, Rachel McAdams and Alessandro Nivola. Matthew Herbert (Life in a Day) who previously scored the director’s Academy Award-winning feature A Fantastic Woman has composed the film’s original music. ‘Scary Movie 5’ Score Album Details Announced
Lakeshore Records has announced the details of the score album for the horror spoof sequel Scary Movie 5. The album features the film’s original score composed by James L. Venable (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Zack and Miri Make a Porno) who previously scored the third and fourth part in the series. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 14, 2013. Audio clips will be added to this article within the next few weeks. As previously reported, the label also released a soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie. Scary Movie 5 is directed by Malcolm Lee and stars Ashley Tisdale, Simon Rex, Erica Ash, J.P. Manoux, Molly Shannon, Terry Crews, Heather Locklear, Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan and Chris Elliott. The David Zucker-produced film opened in theaters on April 12 and is now playing nationwide.

Expected to top the weekend box office is the sports drama 42 written and directed by Brian Helgeland and stars Chadwick Boseman, Harrison Ford, Nicole Beharie, Alan Tudyk, Christopher Meloni, Ryan Merriman, Brad Beyer and T.R. Knight. The film’s original score is composed by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It). James L. Venable is currently scoring the upcoming horror spoof sequel Scary Movie 5. The comedy is directed by Malcolm Lee (Undercover Brother, The Best Man) and stars Ashley Tisdale, Simon Rex, Erica Ash, J.P. Manoux, Molly Shannon, Terry Crews, Heather Locklear, Charlie Sheen, Lindsey Lohan and Chris Elliott. David Zucker (Airplane, the Naked Gun) has co-written the screenplay with Pat Proft (Police Academy) and is also producing the Dimension Films production with Phil Dornfeld. Venable has previously scored the last two parts in the Scary Movie series and followed David Kitay has composed the score for the original movie and Marco Beltrami who scored the first sequel.
