’42’ Score Album Announced

42-scoreWaterTower Music will release a score album for the sports drama 42. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Isham (Crash, MiracleA River Runs Through It) who recorded his orchestral score at Abbey Road Studios in London. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 9, 2013. As previously reported, the label will also release a separate soundtrack album featuring songs from the film, as well as one track from the score. 42 is written and directed by Brian Helgeland and stars Chadwick Boseman, Harrison Ford, Christopher Meloni, Ryan Merriman, Brad Beyer, Judy Tylor, Jon Bernthal, Nicole Beharie and T.R. Knight. The movie tells the story of legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson, who broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier when he joined the roster of the Brooklyn Dodgers.
