Back Lot Music has released the cover version of Petula Clark’s Downtown from Edgar Wright’s psychological horror thriller Last Night in Soho. The track is performed by lead actress Anya Taylor-Joy, produced by the film’s composer Steven Price and is now available as a digital single (featuring an downtempo and uptempo version) to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Carlos Rafael Rivera has won his second Emmy Award for his score for the episode End Game of the Netflix limited series The Queen’s Gambit in the Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie or a Special category at tonight’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony on the Event Deck at LA LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles.He was previously honored with his first Emmy for his main title music for Scott Frank’s Netflix series Godless. Ludwig Göransson was honored with his second Primetime Emmy Award for his score for the sixteenth chapter (The Rescue) of the Disney+ original series The Mandalorian in the Music Composition for a Series category. He previously won the award for his music for the first season in 2020.
‘Sweet Girl’ Soundtrack Album Details
Maisie Music Publishing will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Sweet Girl. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Steven Price (Gravity, Our Planet, Fury, The World’s End, Suicide Squad, The Aeronauts, Over the Moon, Attack the Block, Baby Driver). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 20 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Sweet Girl is directed by Brian Andrew Mendoza and stars Jason Momoa, Isabela Merced, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Amy Brenneman, Raza Jaffrey, Adria Arjona, Justin Bartha, Lex Scott Davis and Michael Raymond-James. The action thriller follows a devastated husband as he vows to bring justice to the people responsible for his wife’s death while protecting the only family he has left, his daughter.

Premiering today is the Starz original series Heels created by Michael Waldron and stars Stephen Amell, Alexander Ludwig, Alison Luff, Mary McCormack, James Harrison, Allen Maldonado and Chris Bauer. The show’s original music is composed by Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, CSI: Miami, The Kominsky Method, Step Up All In). Lionsgate Records will release weekly soundtracks featuring Cardoni’s score and other music from the drama. The first soundtrack featuring music from the first episode has just been released today. Premiering in the U.S. on Wednesday, August 18 is the crime drama The Defeated created by Måns Mårlind and starring Taylor Kitsch, Nina Hoss, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael C. Steven Price (Gravity, Our Planet, Suicide Squad, Fury, Baby Driver, Over the Moon) has recently been recording his score for the upcoming sci-fi comedy Distant. The film is directed by Will Speck & Josh Gordon (Blades of Glory, Office Christmas Party) and stars Anthony Ramos, Naomi Scott and Kristofer Hivju. The movie tells the story of an asteroid miner who crash-lands on an alien planet and must contend with the challenges of his new surroundings, while making his way across the harsh terrain to the only other survivor – a woman who is trapped in her escape pod. Spenser Cohen (Extinction) wrote the screenplay.

Premiering on Thursday, October 22 is the fantasy adventure comedy The Witches directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, Stanley Tucci, Kristin Chenoweth, Chris Rock and Jahzir Kadeen Bruno. The film’s original music is composed by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump. Marvel’s The Avengers, Cast Away, Who Framed Roger Rabbit). The film is directed by Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Shaun of the Dead) and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie, Matt Smith, Michael Ajao, Diana Rigg, Terence Stamp, Synnøve Karlsen and Rita Tushingham. The movie revolves around a young girl passionate about fashion design who mysteriously enters 1960 London, where she encounters her idol, a dazzling wannabe singer.
