Dan Romer (Luca, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Station Eleven, Superman & Lois, Maniac) has composed the original score for the new holiday comedy Genie. The film is directed by Sam Boyd (In a Relationship) and stars Melissa McCarthy, Paapa Essiedu, Marc Maron, Denée Benton, Jordyn McIntosh, Luis Guzmán and Alan Cumming. The movie tells the story of a genie who has been trapped for more than 2,000 years inside an antique jewelry box because of a misunderstanding with a sorcerer back in 77 B.C. and is accidentally called to service by a workaholic who has lost sight of his marriage and the childhood of his daughter.

Making its linear debut tonight is the Showtime original series The Curse created by Benny Safdie & Nathan Fielder and starring Emma Stone, Fielder and Safdie. The show’s original music is composed John Medeski and executive produced by Daniel Lopatin (Uncut Gems, Good Time). Milan Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the score this coming Friday, November 17. The comedy premiered this past Friday on Paramount+ with Showtime and will air every Sunday night on Showtime.
Also premiering today is the MGM+ original series Beacon 23 created by Zak Penn based on Hugh Howey’s best-selling book and starring Lean Headey and Stephan James. William Marriott has composed the show’s original score. Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Pacific Rim, Westworld, Iron Man, House of the Dragon, Eternals) has contributed the theme and also serves as the project’s music producer. ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ Soundtrack Album Details
The full details of the soundtrack album for the horror movie Five Nights at Freddy’s have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by The Newton Brothers (The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep, The Fall of the House of Usher, Midnight Mass, The Forever Purge, The Midnight Club). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 27 by Back Lot Music and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. iam8bit will release a vinyl and CD version. Five Nights at Freddy’s is directed by Emma Tammi and stars Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Kat Conner Sterling, Mary Stuart Masterson, Matthew Lillard and Piper Rubio. Premiering on Thursday, October 19, is the animated special Peter and the Wolf directed by Elliot Dear and Stephen McNally. The Blink Industries’ music is arranged by Maurice Seezer & Gavin Friday (based on Sergei Prokofiev’s symphony) and performed by The Friday-Seezer Ensemble. BMG will release a soundtrack album featuring the animated short’s music this coming Friday. Also premiering on Thursday is the Max original animated series Scavengers Reign created by Joseph Bennett & Charles Huettner and starring Wunmi Mosaku, Bob Stephenson, Ted Travelstead, Sunita Mani and Alia Shawkat. The animated sci-fi adventure, which follows the remaining crew of a damaged interstellar freighter ship who find themselves stranded on an alien planet, will be available to stream on Max.

Zach Robinson Scoring Hulu’s & Peacock’s ‘Fright Krewe’
Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Twisted Metal, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Florida Man, Wrestlers, Good Sam) is composing the original music for the new Hulu/Peacock animated horror series Fright Krewe. The show is created by Eli Roth (Hostel, The House with a Clock in Its Walls) & James Grey (Queen & Slim, A Million Little Pieces) and features the voices of Sydney Mikayla, Tim Johnson Jr., Chester Rushing, Grace Lu, Terrence Little Gardenhigh & Jacques Colimon. The DreamWorks Animation Television production follows a group of misfit teens who are put in charge of saving New Orleans from the biggest demonic threat it’s faced in almost two centuries.
‘The Continental: From the World of John Wick’ Soundtrack Album Details
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Peacock original event series The Continental: From the World of John Wick. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Raffertie (aka Benjamin Stefanski) (Alex Rider, Bull, White Dragon, Zone 414, One Way). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 22 and will be available to stream/download all major digital music services, including Amazon. A vinyl edition is set to come out on October 20 and is available to order here. The Continental is developed by Greg Coolidge, Kirk Ward & Shawn Simmons based on characters from the John Wick movies and stars Colin Woodell, Mel Gibson, Ben Robson, Mishel Prada, Nhung Kate, Jessica Allain, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Jeremy Bobb, Peter Greene and Ayomide Adegun. The 3-parter explores the origin behind the titular hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes of a young Winston Scott.

The movie, which follows Mike Veeck on his journey to redeem himself after he blew up the career of his hustler father, Hall of Fame baseball owner Bill Veeck, premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.

The film is directed by Emma Tammi (The Wind) and stars Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Mary Stuart Masterson, Kat Conner Sterling, Piper Rubio and Matthew Lillard. The Blumhouse production is based on the video game series created by Scott Cawthon and follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, when he realizes the night shift won’t be so easy to make it through.
Hans Zimmer & Kara Talve to Score Sky’s & Peacock’s ‘The Tattooist of Auschwitz’
Sky and Peacock have announced today that Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Inception, Dune, The Dark Knight) and Kara Talve (Prehistoric Planet, The Simpsons) will score the upcoming limited series The Tattooist of Auschwitz. The show is based on the bestselling novel of the same title by Heather Morris and stars Jonah Hauer-King, Anna Próchniak, Harvey Keitel, Melanie Lynskey and Jonas Nay. The 6-part drama is inspired by the true-life story of Lale Sokolov who arrived at Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1942 and was given the job of tattooing identification numbers on prisoners’ arms.
