Premiering tonight is the Fox Live television event Rent executive produced by Marc Platt based on Jonathan Larson’s stage musical of the same title and starring Vanessa Hudgens, Brandon Victor Dixon, Mario, Tinashe, Kiersey Clemons, Jordan Fisher, Brennin Hunt and Valentina. Masterworks Broadway will release a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the TV special. Premiering tomorrow, January 28 is the TNT limited series I Am the Night developed by Sam Sheridan, executive produced by Patty Jenkins and starring Chris Pine, India Eisley, Jefferson Mays, Leland Orser, Yul Vasquez, Dylan Smith, Golden Brooks, Justin Cornwell, Jay Paulson and Connie Nielsen. The show’s original music is composed by David Lang (Youth, Wildlife). Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Frontier’ to Be Released

Lakeshore Records will release the first soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Frontier. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Andrew Lockington (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Rampage, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 25 and will be available to download here. Frontier is created by Rob Blackie & Peter Blackie, executive produced by Brad Peyton and stars Jason Momoa, Alun Armstrong, Landon Liboiron, Zoe Boyle, Jessica Matten and Shawn Doyle.

The show is created by Natasha Lyonne, Leslye Headland (Bachelorette, Sleeping with Other People) & Amy Poehler and stars Lyonne herself, alongside Greta Lee, Yul Vazquez, Elizabeth Ashley, Charlie Barnett, Chloë Sevigny, Dascha Polanco, Brendan Sexton III, Rebecca Henderson, Jeremy Bobb, Ritesh Rajan and Jocelyn Bioh. The comedy follows a young woman named on her journey as the guest of honor at a seemingly inescapable party one night in New York City.

Jay Wadley to Score Netflix’s ‘Tales of the City’ Revival

Jay Wadley (Indignation, The OA, Cruise) has been tapped to score upcoming Netflix limited series Tales of the City. The show is developed by Lauren Morelli (Orange Is the New Black) based on Armistead Maupin’s books and stars Laura Linney, Olympia Dukakis, Barbara Garrick and Paul Gross who reprise their roles from the 1993 mini-series (scored by John Keane) and its sequels. They are joined by Ellen Page, Murray Bartlett, Charlie Barnett, Josiah Victoria Garcia and May Hong. The drama follows Mary Ann who returns home to San Francisco and is reunited with her daughter and ex-husband, twenty years after leaving them behind to pursue her career and will quickly be drawn back into the orbit of Anna Madrigal and the residents of 28 Barbary Lane.

Premiering on Thursday, January 24, is the Netflix docu-series Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes directed by Joe Berlinger about serial killer Ted Bundy. Justin Melland (Dark Net, The Force, Wrong Man) has composed the original music for the show, which features present-day interviews, archival footage and audio recordings made on death row. The full series will be available to stream on Thursday exclusively on Netflix.

Paul Haslinger has recently composed the original score for the upcoming Mötley Crüe biopic The Dirt. The film is directed by Jeff Tremaine (Jackass: The Movie, Bad Grandpa) and stars Douglas Booth, Machine Gun Kelly, Daniel Webber, Iwan Rheon, Tony Cavalero, Rebekah Graf, Leven Rambin and David Costabile. The movie is based on Neil Strauss’ book The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band and follows the band’s rise to international stardom in the 1980s.

‘The Punisher’ Season 2 Soundtrack Details

Marvel Music and Hollywood Records will release a new soundtrack album for Marvel’s Netflix original series The Punisher. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, 300, Dawn of the Dead, Watchmen, John Wick). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 18 and will be available to download here. The labels have previously released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s score from the first season. The Punisher is developed by Steve Lightfoot based on the Marvel Comic character and stars Jon Bernthal, Ben Barnes, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Deborah Ann Woll, Amber Rose Revah, Paul Schulze, Jason R. Moore, Daniel Webber and Jaime Ray Newman.

Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Polar’ to Be Released

A soundtrack album album has been announced for the Netflix original movie Polar. The album features the film’s original music composed by Deadmau5 who made his film scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 25 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Two tracks from the album are already available to download. Polar is directed by Jonas Akerlund (Lords of Chaos) and stars Mads Mikkelsen, Vanessa Hudgens, Katheryn Winnick and Matt Lucas. The movie based on the Dark Horse action noir graphic novel Polar: Came From the Cold by Victor Santoson follows an assassin on the verge of retirement must put the good life on hold when his greedy boss sends a squad of young, ruthless killers to take him out.

Premiering tonight is the National Geographic original series Valley of the Boom created by Matthew Carnahan and starring Bradley Whitford, Steve Zahn, Lamorne Morris, John Karna, Dakota Shapiro and Oliver Cooper. The show’s original music is composed by Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things, Butterfly, Native Son). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from the project (click here for the full album details), as well as a separate album featuring a selections of songs from the series (click here for more information).

Premiering tomorrow, January 14, is the Fox drama The Passage developed by Liz Heldens based on Justin Cronin’s book series and starring Saniyya Sidney, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Caroline Chikezie, Henry Ian Cusick, Vincent Piazza and Emmanuelle Chriqui. Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, Star Trek: Discovery, The Night Of) and Jordan Gagne (The Rookie, Waco) are composing the show’s original music. The show also features original songs by singer/songwriter Ezra Furman. The comedy drama is created by Laurie Nunn and stars Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells and Kedar Williams-Stirling. The series centers on a socially awkward high school virgin who lives with his sex therapist mother and teams up with a rebel girl to form a school sex-therapy clinic.
