Four new movies are opening nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the action adventure Rampage directed by Brad Peyton and starring Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, P.J. Byrne and Marley Shelton. The film’s original music is composed by Andrew Lockington (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score and a new track by Kid Cudi. Also opening wide is Blumhouse’s supernatural thriller Truth or Dare directed by Jeff Wadlow and starring Lucy Hale, Tyler Posey, Violett Beane, Nolan Gerard Funk, Hayden Szeto and Sophia Taylor Ali. Matthew Margeson (Kingsman: The Secret Service & The Golden Circle, Eddie the Eagle, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children) has composed the film’s original music. Copticon Music has released a soundtrack album for the indie drama One Percent More Humid. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nathan Halpern (The Rider, Rich Hill, The Witness). Also included is the original song Calling to Me written by the composer and featuring vocals by Emily Forsythe (
Nathan Halpern has recently composed the music for the drama The Rider. The film is written and directed by Chloé Zhao (Songs My Brothers Taught Me) and stars Brady Jandreau, Tim Jandreau, Lilly Jandreau, Lane Scott and Cat Clifford. The movie centers on a young cowboy who undertakes a search for new identity and tries to redefine what it means to be a man in the heartland of America after a tragic riding accident. Bert Hamelinck (The Diary of a Teenage Girl Sacha Ben Harroche and Mollye Asher (Fort Tilden, She’s Lost Control) are producing the project.
