Marco Beltrami to Score Andy Serkis’ ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’
Marco Beltrami (A Quiet Place, Scream, The Hurt Locker, 3:10 to Yuma, World War Z, Ford v. Ferrari) has been hired to score the upcoming superhero movie Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The film is directed by Andy Serkis (Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, Breathe) and stars Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, Reid Scott and Naomie Harris. Kelly Marcel (Saving Mr. Banks, Fifty Shades of Grey) wrote the screenplay. Avi Arad (Iron Man, The Amazing Spider-Man), Matt Tolmach (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Amy Pascal (Spiderman: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and Hutch Parker (X-Men: Days of Future Past & Apocalypse) are producing the Marvel Entertainment and Tencent Pictures production.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the thriller Honest Thief co-written and directed by Mark Williams and starring Liam Neeson, Kate Walsh, Jai Courtney, Jeffrey Donovan, Robert Patrick, Anthony Ramos and Jasmine Cephas Jones. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, The Accountant, Warrior, Once Upon a Time). Music.Film Recordings & Varese Sarabande have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the romantic drama 2 Hearts directed by Lance Hool and starring Jacob Elordi, Adan Canto, Tiera Skovbye, Kari Matchett, Tahmoh Penikett, and Radha Mitchell. James Jandrisch (Dangerous Lies, Houdini & Doyle) has composed the film’s original score and We Are The West have provided the songs. Transition Music and Entertainment Studios Music Grou have released a soundtrack album featuring both songs and score today. ‘Love and Monsters’ Soundtrack Details
Paramount Music will release a soundtrack album for the post-apocalyptic action comedy Love and Monsters. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Beltrami (Logan, Scream, A Quiet Place, Ford v Ferrari, 3:10 to Yuma) & Marcus Trumpp (The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death, Mesrine). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 16 and will be available to stream/download here. Love and Monsters is directed by Michael Matthews and stars Dylan O’Brien, Jessica Henwick, Michael Rooker and Ariana Greenblatt. The movie follows a man living underground after giant creatures took control of Earth, when he reconnects with his girlfriend on the radio. Against all logic and decides to risk it all on an epic 80-mile journey to find her.

The only movie opening in theaters nationwide this week is the political thriller Infidel written and directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh and starring Jim Caveziel, Claudia Karvan, Hal Ozsan, Stelio Savante and Aly Kassem. The album features the film’s original music composed by Natalie Holt (The Honourable Woman, Journey’s End, Knightfall, Press, Beecham House, Deadwater Fell). No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which revolves around an American journalist/blogger who is kidnapped while attending a conference in the Middle East and is put on trial for trumped-up charges of espionage, is being released by Cloudburst Entertainment.
Already playing in around 400 theaters since this past Wednesday is the thriller The Secrets We Keep co-written and directed by Yuval Adler and starring Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, Chris Messina and Amy Seimetz. John Paesano (The Maze Runner, Daredevil, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, The Star, My All American, When the Game Stands Tall) has composed the film’s original music. Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, Scream, A Quiet Place, The Hurt Locker) has recently scored the upcoming documentary The Way I See It. The film is directed by Dawn Porter (John Lewis: Good Trouble, Gideon’s Army, Bobby Kennedy for President) and centers on former Chief Official White House Photographer Pete Souza. The movie tracks Souza’s journey from a man with top secret clearance and total access to the President, whose job description meant he was required to be invisible, to a man who has turned his focus on the present day and who uses his art as commentary to help us understand where we are now as a country and what we might be missing.
‘Dracula 2000’ Score Album Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the horror movie Dracula 2000 directed by Patrick Lussier, executive produced by Wes Craven and starring Jeri Ryan, Gerard Butler, Christopher Plummer, Jonny Lee Miller, Justine Waddell, Omar Epps, Colleen Fitzpatrick and Jennifer Esposito. The album features the original score from the Dimension Films production composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, A Quiet Place, The Hurt Locker, Scream, Ford v Ferrari). The CD, which is set to be released on July 24, 2020 and is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website. The soundtrack made its CD debut in Varese’s Little Box Of Horrors box set (released in 2016).

The movie is directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow) and stars Tom Holland, Daisy Ridley, Mads Mikkelsen, Demián Bichir, Kurt Sutter, Nick Jonas, Cynthia Erivo and David Oyelowo. The movie is based on the novel The Knife of Never Letting Go, the first part of the Chaos Walking trilogy takes place in a world where all women have been killed by a germ and all living creatures can hear one another’s thoughts in a stream of images, words and sounds called The Noise.
