Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, A Million Little Things, Rectify, Rosewood) is scoring the new Fox comedy Pivoting. The show is created by Liz Astrof and stars Eliza Coupe, Ginnifer Goodwin, Maggie Q, Tommy Dewey, JT Neal and Marcello Reyes. The series follows three women and close-knit childhood friends as they cope with the death of the fourth member of their group and alter their current paths, by way of a series of impulsive, ill-advised and self-indulgent decisions.

Gabriel Mann Scoring Disney+’s ‘Better Nate Than Ever’
Composer Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, Rectify, Rosewood) is reteaming with writer/producer Tim Federle on the upcoming Disney+ original movie Better Nate Than Ever. The film is written and directed by Federle and stars Rueby Wood, Norbert Leo Butz, Lisa Kudrow, Aria Brooks, Michelle Federer and Joshua Bassett. The comedy drama is based on Federle’s book of the same title and follows a 13-year-old Pittsburgher who sneaks off to a major musical audition in the Big Apple with his best friend after not being cast in their school play.

Premiering on Tuesday, August 31 is the Hulu original series Only Murders in the Building created by Steve Martin & John Hoffman and starring Martin, Selena Gomez, Martin Short Aaron Dominguez and Amy Ryan. The show’s original music is composed by Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us, Looking for Alasksa, Queenpins, Runaways, The Royals). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Friday. Premiering on Wednesday, September 1 is Pixar Animation Studios’ Disney+ shorts series Dug Days written and directed by Bob Peterson and produced by Kim Collins. Andrea Datzman (Alcatraz, Undercovers) & Curtis Green have composed the original score for all five shorts. ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Announced
Walt Disney Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the Disney+ original series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. The album features all songs from the show’s second season, including the reimagined musical numbers from the stage production of Beauty and the Beast, as well as original tracks Even When/The Best Part performed by Olivia Rodrigo & Joshua Bassett and The Rose Song written and performed by Olivia Rodrigo. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, July 30 and will be available to stream/download here. A CD version will be available exclusively at Target. The label has previously released full albums featuring the songs from Season 1 and last year’s holiday special, as well as numerous digital singles.
Paramount+’s ‘iCarly’ Revival Series to Feature Music by Gabriel Mann & Niv Toar
Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, A Million Little Things, Rectify, Rosewood) & Niv Toar (School of Rock, Alexa & Katie) are scoring Paramount+’s new iCarly revival series. The show is developed by Ali Schouten based on the Nickelodeon sitcom, which ran from 2007-2012, and stars Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress who reprise their roles from the original series. They are joined by new cast members Laci Mosley and Jaidyn Triplett. The comedy follows Carly Shay, the original influencer, and her friends as they navigate work, love and their family in their twenties.
Gabriel Mann to Score Michael Lembeck’s ‘The J Team’
Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, Rectify, Rosewood) has signed on to score the upcoming movie musical The J Team. The film is directed by Michael Lembeck (The Santa Clause 2 & 3, Tooth Fairy) and stars JoJo Siwa (who is contributing six new songs to the project), Tisha Campbell-Martin, Laura Soltis, Julia Marley, Kerrynton Jones and Kiara T. Romero. The movie follows a young girl whose life is turned upside down when her beloved dance coach decides to retire and is replaced by a sparkle-hating instructor. Eydie Faye wrote the screenplay. Ron French (Five Star Christmas) is producing the Nickelodeon and Awesomeness Films production.

Premiering in the U.S. today is the Norwegian mini-series Atlantic Crossing written by Alexander Eik & Linda May Kallestein, directed by Eik and starring Sofia Helin, Kyle MacLachlan and Tobias Santelmann. The show’s original music is composed by Raymond Enoksen (Haunted, Ice Road Rescue). Dreamscore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last year when the 8-part drama premiered overseas. Also premiering tonight is the Fox TV special Malika the Lion Queen directed by Karin Slater and narrated by Angela Bassett. Jasha Klebe (Planet Earth II, The Black Godfather, Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom, Medal of Honor, Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes) has composed the original music for the special. The documentary, which follows a powerful pride of lions in South Africa’s Kruger National Park and explores the exhilarating and harrowing life of lioness Malika, will air on Fox tonight. ABC’s ‘Rebel’ to Feature Music by Gabriel Mann & Rebecca Kneubuhl
Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, Rectify, Rosewood) & Rebeca Kneubuhl (Dawn of the Croods, Sydney to the Max) are teaming up to score the upcoming ABC drama Rebel. The show is created by Krista Vernoff (Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19) and stars Katey Sagal, John Corbett, James Lesure, Lex Scott Davis, Tamala Jones, Ariela Barer, Kevin Zegers, Sam Palladio and Andy Garcia. The series is inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich today and follows a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves.
First Songs from ‘A Million Little Things’ Season 3 Soundtrack Released
Hollywood Records has released the first two songs from the soundtrack for the third season of the ABC drama A Million Little Things. Available now to stream/download is the track Would You Still Know Me written by the show’s composer Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, Rectify, High School Musical: The Musical:The Series) & Geoffrey Nauffts and performed by Lizzy Greene, as well as a cover version of 10,000 Maniacs’ Trouble Me (written by Dennis Drew & Natalie Merchant) performed by Mann himself. The show’s original music is composed by David Martijn (De Dag, The Twelve). The 8-parter, which follows a group of astronomers detect a transmission from another galaxy, premiered in Europe last fall, is making its U.S. debut on Epix.
