Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never) (Uncut Gems, Good Time, The Bling Ring) is teaming up with Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye to score the next, currently untitled feature directed by Trey Edward Shults (Waves, It Comes at Night, Krisha). The film is co-written by Shults, Tesfaye & Reza Fahim (The Idol) and stars The Weeknd himself, Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. No plot details have been announced yet. The Weeknd and Fahim are also producing the project with Kevin Turen (Euphoria, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent) and Harrison Kreiss (X, Pearl).

Weekly TV Music Roundup (October 23, 2022)
Premiering on Tuesday, October 25, is the Netflix anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities created by Guillermo del Toro. Tim Davies (Maya and the Three), Jeff Danna (Onward), Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3), Daniele Luppi (Magic City), Michael Yezerski (Blindspotting), Anne Chmelewsky (Where Hands Touch), Daniel Lopatin (Good Time) and Jed Kurzel (Alien: Covenant) have composed the score for the eight episodes and Holly Amber Church (Open 24 Hours) has written the main title and prologue music. Also premiering on Tuesday is the fantasy adventure Blade of the 47 Ronin directed by Ron Yuan and starring Anna Akana, Mark Dacascos, Dustin Nguyen, Akira Koieyama, Chris Pang and Mike Moh. The film’s original score is composed by Linkin Park’s Joe Hahn and Alec Puro (Black Summer, The Art of Getting By, All Nighter). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the score and songs (by BlvckNeon, Maddie The Baddie, Simon Morel, Ian Valentine & others) this past Friday. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the action adventure Jumanji: The Next Level directed by Jake Kasdan and starromh Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Danny Glover and Danny DeVito. The film’s original music is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, X-Men: First Class, Wreck-It-Ralph). ‘Uncut Gems’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Warp Records has announced a soundtrack album for Josh and Benny Safdie’s crime thriller Uncut Gems. The album features the film’s original music composed by Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never) (The Bling Ring, Partisan) who has previously scored the Safdie Brothers’ last feature Good Time. Daniel Lopatin Scoring Rick Alverson’s ‘The Mountain’
Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never) has composed the original score for the period drama The Mountain. The film is directed by Rick Alverson (Entertainment, The Comedy) and stars Tye Sheridan, Jeff Goldblum, Hannah Gross, Denis Lavant and Udo Kier. The movie is set in 1950s America and follows an introverted young man who joins a renowned lobotomist as he promotes his recently debunked procedure and begins to identify with the patients, among them the daughter of a charismatic leader in the burgeoning New Age movement of the West.

‘The Bling Ring’ Soundtrack Details
Def Jam Recordings will release the official soundtrack album for the indie drama The Bling Ring. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Sleigh Bells, M.I.A., 2 Chainz, Kanye West, deadmau5, Phoenix, Frank Ocean, Rick Ross (feat. Lil Wayne) and Azealia Banks. Also included is a suite from the movie’s score composed by Brian Reitzell (Friday Night Lights) and Daniel Lopatin. The soundtrack will be released on June 11, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Bling Ring is written and directed by Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation) and stars Emma Watson, Leslie Mann, Taissa Farmiga, Claire Julien, Israel Broussard, Katie Chang, Georgia Rock and Gavin Rossdale. The movie is based on a true story and follows a group of teenagers obsessed with fashion and celebrity that burglarize celebrities’ homes in Los Angeles.
