Piki Lane Limited has released a soundtrack EP for the New Zealand adventure drama The Mountain. The 6-track EP features the film’s original music composed by Troy Kingi (The Panthers). Also included is the song Marangai Te Āio written and performed by Tonga Karena feat. Hinenui Wano-Bryant, Luka Kamana & Ngakirikiri Kershaw. Lumière Noire Records has released a soundtrack EP for the French adventure drama The Mountain (La montagne). The 6-track EP features the film’s original music composed by Chloé Thévenin (Arthur Rambo, A Decent Man). Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack. The Mountain is co-written and directed by Thomas Salvador and stars Salvador himself, Louise Bourgoin, Martine Chevallier, Andranic Manet, Laurent Poitrenaux and Sylvain Frendo. The movie follows a Parisian engineer who decides to leave his everyday life behind and set up a bivouac in the French Alps, where he discovers a shifting luminescence in the darkness and sets out to get to the bottom of the mysterious phenomenon.

The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the comedy drama Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Al Pacino. The film doesn’t feature an original score. Mary Ramos serves as the project’s music supervisor. Columbia Records has released a soundtrack album featuring tracks by Deep Purple, Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Revere & The Raiders Buffy Sainte-Marie & others today. Opening in limited release is the drama Skin written and directed by Guy Nattiv and starring Jamie Bell, Vera Farmiga, Danielle Macdonald, Mike Colter and Bill Camp. Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Maniac, The Good Doctor, Easy) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Daniel Lopatin Scoring Rick Alverson’s ‘The Mountain’
Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never) has composed the original score for the period drama The Mountain. The film is directed by Rick Alverson (Entertainment, The Comedy) and stars Tye Sheridan, Jeff Goldblum, Hannah Gross, Denis Lavant and Udo Kier. The movie is set in 1950s America and follows an introverted young man who joins a renowned lobotomist as he promotes his recently debunked procedure and begins to identify with the patients, among them the daughter of a charismatic leader in the burgeoning New Age movement of the West.
