Piki Lane Limited has released a soundtrack EP for the New Zealand adventure drama The Mountain. The 6-track EP features the film’s original music composed by Troy Kingi (The Panthers). Also included is the song Marangai Te Āio written and performed by Tonga Karena feat. Hinenui Wano-Bryant, Luka Kamana & Ngakirikiri Kershaw. The Mountain is co-written and directed by Rachel House and stars Elizabeth Atkinson, Reuben Francis, Terence Daniel, Kingi himself, Byron Coll, Fern Sutherland and Sukena Shah. The movie executive produced by Taika Waititi follows three children on a mission to find healing under the watchful eye of Taranaki Maunga, and discover friendship in the spirit of adventure. The drama will be released in New Zealand theaters on March 28.
