The full music team credits for the new sci-fi thriller 65 have revealed the involvement of composer Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, The Batman, The Incredibles, Spider-Man: Far from Home) in the film’s production. He is credited as the “score consultant” on the movie directed by Scott Beck & Bryan Woods and starring Adam Driver, Ariana Greenblatt and Chloe Coleman. ’65’ Soundtrack Album Details
Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi thriller 65. The album features the film’s original score composed by Chris Bacon (Source Code, Bates Motel, Gnomeo & Juliet, Wednesday, Men in Black: International, The Tick). Danny Elfman (who was originally scoring the movie) is credited as a co-composer on several tracks. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 10 and will be available to stream/download here. 65 is written and directed by Scott Beck & Bryan Woods and stars Adam Driver, Ariana Greenblatt and Chloe Coleman. The Sam Raimi-produced movie follows a pilot Mills who – after a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet – quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth, 65 million years ago, and, with the only other survivor, must make his way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures.
Covers from Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a second soundtrack for the Netflix original series Wednesday. The 4-track EP features the cover version of The Rolling Stones’ Paint It Black performed in the show by Jenna Ortega’s title character, Wednesday Addams, as well as the cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Don’t Stop, a piece from Vivaldi’s violin concertos Four Seasons and Elgar’s Concerto in E Minor for Violincello and Orchestra performed by the Nevermore Academy Orchestra. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 30 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Danny Elfman & Chris Bacon to Score Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ TV Series
Netflix announced today that Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Alice in Wonderland, The Nightmare Before Christmas) and Chris Bacon (Source Code, Gnomeo & Juliet, Bates Motel) are set to compose the original music for the streamer’s upcoming original series Wednesday. Elfman is writing the theme and is collaborating with Bacon to score the show created by Al Gough & Miles Millar (Smallville, Shanghai Noon) based on the characters from The Addams Family and starring Jenna Ortega in the title role, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams and Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams. Tim Burton is directing multiple episodes of the live-action coming-of-age comedy, which charts Wednesday’s years as a student at the peculiar Nevermore Academy.
