WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album for the Starz original series Shining Vale. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Tim Phillips (Ackley Bridge, Becoming Elizabeth, Shameless, Jericho, Esio Trot, Partners in Crime). Also included are the songs Whispering Hope & Ave Maria performed by cast member Gus Birney and One for My Baby (And One More for the Road) & Strange Affair performed by Mira Sorvino. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Shining Vale is created by Jeff Astrof & Sharon Horgan and stars Courteney Cox, Greg Kinnear, Sorvino, Birney, Merrin Dungey, Judith Light, Dylan Gage and Sherilyn Fenn. Norwegian electronic music artist and composer Biosphere (aka Geir Jenssen) has written the original music for the upcoming Netflix original film The Good Nurse. The movie is directed by Tobias Lindholm (A Hijacking, The Investigation) and stars Jessica Chastain, Eddie Redmayne, Nnamdi Asomugha, Noah Emmerich, Kim Dickens, Malik Yoba and Alix West Lefler. The thriller is based on true events and follows a nurse who suspects that her colleague is behind a series of mysterious patient deaths and risks her own life to uncover the truth. The Red Feather has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the Scandinavian TV series Black Lake. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Simon Kölle (The Huntress: Rune of the Dead, The Perfect Weapon, Ave Mater,White Trash). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Black Lake is created by Ulf Kvensler and stars Filip Berg who is joined in Season 2 by Hedda Stiernstadt, David Nzinga, Daniel Larsson, Bahar Pars and Alida Morberg. The thriller tells the mysterious tale of Black Lake, a remote and neglected ski resort which has been closed for years, after having been the scene of a horrific crime years prior. The film is directed by Arnaud Desplechin (Esther KhanJimmy P.) and stars Marion Cotillard, Melvil Poupaud and Golshifteh Farahani. The movie centers on the relationship between two siblings, an actress and teacher/poet who have been estranged for over 20 years when the death of their parents brings them face to face. Premiering today is the Showtime original series The First Lady created by Aaron Cooley, directed by Susanne Bier and starring Viola Davis as Michelle Obama, Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford, Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt, as well as Kiefer Sutherland, Aaron Eckhart, Dakota Fanning, Regina Taylor, Lily Rabe and Jayme Lawson. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Mulligan is directed by Michael O. Sajbel and stars Eric Close and Pat Boone, as well as PGA golfer Tom Lehman and broadcasting legend Jim Nantz as themselves. The movie is based on the book of the same title by Wally Armstrong & Ken Blanchard and follows a career-focused CEO separated from his wife and estranged from his son of who encounters a mysterious character known as “The Old Pro” who inspires him to reverse his downward spiral.
