Este Haim (of HAIM) (Maid, Voicemails for Isabelle, Do Revenge, Tow, You’re So Not Invited to My Bar Mitzvah) & Christopher Stracey (Cha Cha Real Smooth, Manodrome, Fingernails, Suncoast) have teamed up to score the upcoming romantic comedy One Night Only. The film is directed by Will Gluck (Peter Rabbit, Easy A) and stars Monica Barbaro, Callum Turner, Maya Hawke, Julia Fox, Ziwe, King Princess, Molly Ringwald, Ben Marshall and Levar Burton. The movie follows two love-starved strangers who crash into each other in an ever-so-slightly fictionalized New York City on the one night of the year when single people are allowed to have sex.

‘Suncoast’ Soundtrack Album Details
Hollywood Records will release the official soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Suncoast. The album features the film’s original score composed by Este Haim & Christopher Stracey (Anyone But You, Maid, Cha Cha Real Smooth). Also included is a cover version of The National’s Green Gloves performed by Monica Martin and produced by Haim & Stracey. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 9 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Suncoast is written and directed by Laura Chinn and stars Nico Parker, Laura Linney, Woody Harrelson, Matt Walsh, Keyla Monterosso Mejia, Ella Anderson, Scott MacArthur, Daniella Taylor, Amarr and Ariel Martin. The movie tells the story of a teenager who, while caring for her brother along with her audacious mother, strikes up an unlikely friendship with an eccentric activist who is protesting one of the most landmark medical cases of all time.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror family comedy Haunted Mansion directed by Justin Simien and starring LaKeith Stanfield, Owen Wilson, Tiffany Haddish, Danny DeVito, Chase W. Dillon, Rosario Dawson and Jamie Lee Curtis. The film’s original score is composed by Kris Bowers (Bridgerton, Green Book, Secret Invasion, King Richard, Queen Charlotte). Also opening wide is the Australian supernatural horror thriller Talk to Me directed by Danny & Michael Philippou and starring Sophie Wilde, Alexandra Jensen, Otis Dhanji, Joe Bird and Miranda Otto. Cornel Wilczek (Clickbait, These Final Hours, Nowhere Boys) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follows a group of friends who discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand, premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is being distributed in the U.S. by A24.

Este Haim (of HAIM) & Chris Stracey have been hired to score the upcoming coming-of-age drama Suncoast. The film is written and directed by Laura Chinn (Florida Girls) and stars Nico Parker, Laura Linney and Woody Harrelson. The movie is based on Chinn’s own life and follows a teenager living with her strong-willed mother who must take her brother to live at a specialized facility, where she strikes up an unlikely friendship with an eccentric activist.
Christopher Stracey Scoring John Trengove’s ‘Manodrome’
Christopher Stracey (Maid, Cha Cha Real Smooth) has made his solo feature scoring debut on the upcoming thriller Manodrome. The film is written and directed by John Trengove (The Wound) and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Adrien Brody, Odessa Young, Sallieu Sesay, Philip Ettinger, Ethan Suplee, Caleb Eberhardt, Evan Joningkeit and Gheorghe Murensan. The movie revolves around an Uber driver and aspiring bodybuilder who is inducted into a libertarian masculinity cult and begins to lose his grip on reality.

Columbia Records will release a soundtrack EP for the comedy drama Cha Cha Real Smooth. The 5-track EP features the film’s original score composed by Este Haim (of HAIM) & Christopher Stracey (Maid) who have made their feature scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 17 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Cha Cha Real Smooth is written and directed by Cooper Raiff and stars Raiff himself, Dakota Johnson, Leslie Mann, Brad Garrett, Vanessa Burghardt and Evan Assante. The movie centers on a young man who works as a Bar Mitzvah party host and strikes up a friendship with a mother and her autistic daughter.

Christopher Stracey (Maid) & hip-hop artist Mato Wayuhi (Reservation Dogs) have teamed up to score the upcoming drama War Pony. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actress Riley Keough and Gina Gammell (Manodrome) and stars Jojo Bapteise Whiting and LaDainian Crazy Thunder. The movie is based on real events and tells the interlocking stories of two Lakota boys growing up on Pine Ridge Reservation in the U.S.

Chris Stracey and Este Haim (of the Grammy Award-nominated band HAIM) have teamed up to compose the original music for the new Netflix limited series Maid. The show is created by Molly Smith Metzler and stars Margaret Qualley, Andie MacDowell, Nick Robinson, Anika Noni Rose, Tracy Vilar, Billy Burke and Rylea Nevaeh Whittet. The drama is inspired by the New York Times best-selling memoir, Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive, by Stephanie Land and revolves around a young mother who – after fleeing an abusive relationship – finds a job cleaning houses as she fights to provide for her child and build them a better future.
