Milan Records has released a new soundtrack album for the French TV series UFOs (OVNI(s)). The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Thylacine (Gaspard at the Wedding, Do It Right). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio clips. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s score, as well as other music from Season 1 last year. Premiering today is the first installment of the Showtime anthology series Super Pumped, entitled The Battle for Uber, based on the book of the same title by Mike Isaac and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kyle Chandler, Uma Thurman, Elisabeth Shue, Jon Bass, Kerry Bishé, Bridget Gao Hollitt and Babak Tafti. The show’s original music is composed by Brendan Angelides (aka ESKMO) (13 Reasons Why, Billions, Naked Singularity, The Master Cleanse). Premiering on Wednesday, March 2, is the Netflix original film Against the Ice directed by Peter Flinth and starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Joe Cole, Heida Reed, Charles Dance, Gísli Örn Garðarsson, Sam Redford, Diarmaid Murtagh, Edward Speleers, Frankie Wilson and Nick Jameson. Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the horror comedy Studio 666 directed by BJ McDonnell and starring Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, Rami Jaffee, Whitney Cummings, Will Forte, Jenna Ortega, Leslie Grossman and Jeff Garlin. The film’s original score is composed by Roy Mayorga (best known as the drummer of Ministry, Hellyeah and Stone Sour). John Carpenter has written the theme song and Foo Fighters have contributed the original songs for the fictional band Dream Widow. Also opening wide following an awards-qualifying release in December is the movie musical Cyrano directed by Joe Wright and starring Peter Dinklage, Haley Bennett, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Ben Mendelsohn. The National’s Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, The Kitchen) & Aaron Dessner (C’mon C’mon, Jockey) have composed the film’s original score and songs. Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album for Pixar Animation Studios’ Turning Red. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Academy Award and Grammy Award winner Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, Tenet, Creed, Community, The Mandalorian). Also included are the film’s original songs written by Grammy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated songwriters Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell and performed by the fictional boy band 4*Town (Jordan Fisher, Finneas, Topher Ngo Grayson Villanueva & Josh Levi).
