Darkroom/Interscope Records have released the seventh song from the soundtrack for Greta Gerwig’s fantasy comedy Barbie. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is What Was I Made For? co-written (with FINNEAS) and performed by Billie Eilish. FINNEAS also produced the track with the movie’s composers Mark Ronson & Andrew Wyatt. Check out the official music video after the jump. The song will also be included on the film’s official soundtrack album (to be released on July 21 by Atlantic Records). Six first songs from the album have already been released in the last couple of weeks.

‘Vengeance’ Soundtrack Album Details
Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the comedy thriller Vengeance. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award-winning songwriter Finneas O’Connell (aka FINNEAS) (No Time to Die, The Fallout). The soundtrack will be released digitally this coming Friday, July 29 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out below. Vengeance is written and directed by B.J. Novak (in his feature directorial debut) and stars himself, alongside Boyd Holbrook, Issa Rae, Ashton Kutcher, J. Smith-Cameron, Lio Tipton and Dove Cameron. The Blumhouse production follows a journalist and podcaster who travels from New York City to West Texas to investigate the death of a girl he was hooking up with.
Finneas O’Connell Scoring B.J. Novak’s ‘Vengeance’
FINNEAS (aka Finneas O’Connell) has composed the original score for the new comedy thriller Vengeance. The film marks the feature directorial debut of B.J. Novak (The Office, The Premise) and stars Novak himself, Issa Rae, Ashton Kutcher, Boyd Holbrook, J. Smith-Cameron and Dove Cameron. Billie Eilish, Finneas & Hans Zimmer Win Academy Awards for ‘No Time to Die’ & ‘Dune’
Billie Eilish & Finneas O’Connell were honored with their first Oscar at tonight’s 94th Academy Awards ceremony at the DolbyTheatre in Hollywood for their title song from Cary Fukunaga’s James Bond film No Time to Die. Check out their acceptance speech after the jump. Earlier in the evening, Hans Zimmer received his second Academy Award for his score for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune. He previously won his first Oscar in 1995 for Disney’s The Lion King.
Hans Zimmer Wins Critics Choice Award for ‘Dune’ Score
Hans Zimmer was honored with the Critics Choice Award in the Best Score category for his music for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune at tonight’s 27th Critics Choice Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. He previously won the award back in 2001 for his scores for Gladiator, Mission: Impossible 2 and The Road to El Dorado and was nominated multiple other times. The other composers nominated in the category were Nicholas Britell for Don’t Look Up, Jonny Greenwood for The Power of the Dog and Spencer and Nathan Johnson for Nightmare Alley.
‘Turning Red’ Soundtrack Album Details
Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album for Pixar Animation Studios’ Turning Red. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Academy Award and Grammy Award winner Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, Tenet, Creed, Community, The Mandalorian). Also included are the film’s original songs written by Grammy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated songwriters Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell and performed by the fictional boy band 4*Town (Jordan Fisher, Finneas, Topher Ngo Grayson Villanueva & Josh Levi). ‘The Fallout’ Soundtrack Album Details
WaterTower Music will release the official soundtrack album for the drama The Fallout. The album features the film’s original music composed by Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and record producer Finneas O’Connell who has made his scoring debut on the project. Also included are songs by BC Fog, Maisy Stella & Lennon Stella. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 28 and will be available to stream/download here. The Fallout is written and directed by Megan Park and stars Jenna Ortega, Maddie Ziegler, Niles Fitch, Lumi Pollack, Will Ropp, John Ortiz, Julie Bowen and Shailene Woodley. The movie follows a high schooler as she navigates the emotional fallout she experiences in the wake of a school tragedy.

Hans Zimmer Wins Golden Globe for ‘Dune’ Score
Hans Zimmer has received his third Golden Globe in the Original Score category for his score for Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic Dune at tonight’s 79th Golden Globe Awards ceremony. He previously his first two Golden Globes for 1994’s The Lion King and 2000’s Gladiator and was honored with multiple other nominations over the last three decades. The other composers nominated in the score category were Alexandre Desplat (The French Dispatch), Germaine Franco (Encanto), Jonny Greenwood (The Power of the Dog) and Alberto Iglesias (Parallel Mother).

Disney announced today that Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriters Billie Eilish and FINNEAS have written three original songs for Pixar’s next animated feature Turning Red. The tracks were written for the fictional boy band 4*Town in the movie. A first song (Nobody Like U) is featured in the film’s latest trailer, which just premiered today and can be checked out after the jump. As previously reported, Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, The Mandalorian, Tenet) has composed the original score for the movie, which is directed by Domee Shee and stars Rosalie Chiang, Sandra Oh, Orion Lee, Wai Ching Ho, Ava Morse, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Hyein Park, Tristan Allerick Chen, Addie Chandler, Jordan Fisher, Grayson Villanueva, Josh Levi, Topher Ngo and Finneas O’Connell.
