Billie Eilish & Finneas O’Connell were honored with their first Oscar at tonight’s 94th Academy Awards ceremony at the DolbyTheatre in Hollywood for their title song from Cary Fukunaga’s James Bond film No Time to Die. Hans Zimmer Wins Critics Choice Award for ‘Dune’ Score
Hans Zimmer was honored with the Critics Choice Award in the Best Score category for his music for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune at tonight’s 27th Critics Choice Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. He previously won the award back in 2001 for his scores for Gladiator, Mission: Impossible 2 and The Road to El Dorado and was nominated multiple other times. The other composers nominated in the category were Nicholas Britell for Don’t Look Up, Jonny Greenwood for The Power of the Dog and Spencer and Nathan Johnson for Nightmare Alley.
Hans Zimmer Wins Golden Globe for ‘Dune’ Score
Hans Zimmer has received his third Golden Globe in the Original Score category for his score for Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic Dune at tonight’s 79th Golden Globe Awards ceremony. He previously his first two Golden Globes for 1994’s The Lion King and 2000’s Gladiator and was honored with multiple other nominations over the last three decades. The other composers nominated in the score category were Alexandre Desplat (The French Dispatch), Germaine Franco (Encanto), Jonny Greenwood (The Power of the Dog) and Alberto Iglesias (Parallel Mother).

The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the 25th James Bond movie No Time to Die directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and starring Daniel Craig, Léa Seydoux, Rami Malek, Ben Whishaw, Christoph Waltz, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Billy Magnussen, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas and Ralph Fiennes. The film’s original score is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception, Gladiator, The Lion King) and produced by Steve Mazzaro (The Boss Baby, The Rhythm Section). Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the title song co-written and performed by Billie Eilish last week. Opening semi-wide in a couple of hundred theaters is the supernatural horror movie Lamb co-written and directed by Valdimar Jóhannsson and starring Noomi Rapace, Hilmir Snær Gudnason, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson and Ingvar Sigurdsson. Tóti Guðnason has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score next Friday, October 15. Hildur Guðnadóttir Wins Grammy Award for ‘Joker’ Score
Hildur Guðnadóttir has won her second Grammy Award for her score for Todd Phillips’ Joker in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category. She previously received an Academy Award and Golden Globe for her work on the film. The composer was honored with her first Grammy last year for her music for HBO’s Chernobyl in the same category. In the Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media, Billie Eilish & Finneas won the award for the title song for the James Bond movie No Time to Die. In the Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Visual Media category, Jojo Rabbit was the winner.

The album features the film’s original score composed by Hans Zimmer(The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Lion King, Inception, Pirates of the Caribbean), as well as the theme song performed by Billie Eilish and co-written by herself and Finneas O’Connell (already out now as a digital single). The soundtrack will be released on November 13, 2020 and will be available to pre-order here soon. Check back on this page for the track list. The album was originally set to be released this past March before the movie’s worldwide release was delayed.
