Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for Yorgos Lanthimos’ comedy Bugonia. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Jerskin Fendrix (Poor Things, Kinds of Kindness). Also included is Marlene Dietrich’s rendition of Where Have All the Flowers Gone. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, October 31. Bugonia is directed by Lanthimos, written by Will Tracy and stars Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Stavros Halkias, Aidan Delbis and Alicia Silverstone. The movie is based on the 2003 South Korean feature Save the Green Planet and follows two conspiracy obsessed young men who kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth. The comedy premiered at this year’s Venice Film Festival and will be released in select theaters this Friday, October 24 by Focus Features before expanding nationwide on October 31.
