Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror movie Evil Dead Rise written and directed by Lee Cronin and starring Lily Sullivan, Alyssa Sutherland, Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols and Nell Fisher. The film’s original music is composed by Stephen McKeon (The Hole in the Ground, Pilgrimage, Queen & Country, Norm of the North, Rose Plays Julie). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday. Also opening wide is the the action thriller Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant co-written and directed by Ritchie and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Dar Salim, Alexander Ludwig, Antony Starr, Emily Beecham, Bobby Schofield and Jonny Lee Miller. Chris Benstead (The Gentlemen, Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre, Wrath of Man) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced. CBS Studios will release a soundtrack album for the CW drama Tom Swift. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Matthew Head (P-Valley, Boomerang, Robin Roberts Presents: Mahalia, The Family Business). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 22 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Tom Swift is developed by Melinda Hsu Taylor, Noga Landau & Cameron Johnson based on the book series by Victor Appleton and stars Tian Richards, Ashleigh Murray, Marquise Vilsón, April Parker Jones, Albert Mwangi and LeVar Burton. ‘Triumph of the Spirit’ Digital Soundtrack Album Released

Tempest Music has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the 1989 biographical drama Triumph of the Spirit directed by Robert M. Young and starring Willem Dafoe, Edward James Olmos, Robert Loggia and Wendy Gazelle. The album features the film’s (newly remastered) original music composed and conducted by Cliff Eidelman (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Christopher Columbus: The Discovery, He’s Just Not That Into You, Now and Then, One True Thing, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Varese Sarabande has previously released the original 1989 CD version of the soundtrack. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s documentary series Full Swing. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by H. Scott Salinas (The Banker, A Private War, Warrior, The Ballad of Lefty Brown, Cartel Land, Birth of the Dragon). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Full Swing is executive produced by Chad Mumm, Mark Olsen, Paul Martin & James Gay-Rees and follows a diverse group of professional golfers on and off the course across a relentless season of competition as they endure a high-stakes schedule week in and week out on the PGA Tour. ‘The Muppets Mayhem’ Soundtrack Album Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for the Disney+ original series The Muppets Mayhem have been revealed. The album features the songs from the show performed by Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, including several original tracks written by executive music producer Linda Perry. Also included are five tracks from the series’ original score composed by Mick Giacchino (Zootopia+, Extinct, Jim Henson’s Turkey Hollow, That Dirty Black Bag). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 10 by Walt Disney Records. A vinyl edition will be coming out on May 12 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Dan Romer (Luca, Station Eleven, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Maniac) has teamed up with Osei Essed (How to Survive a Pandemic, Katrina Babies, Finders Keepers) to score the new Hulu original series Saint X. The show is developed by Leila Gerstein (Hart of Dixie, Cursed) based on Alexis Schaitkin’s novel of the same name and stars Alycia Debnam-Carey, Josh Bonzie, West Duchovny, Bre Francis, Jayden Elijah, Kenlee Anaya Townsend, Michael Park and Betsy Brandt. The 8-part drama is told via multiple timelines and explores how a young woman’s mysterious death during a Caribbean vacation creates a ripple effect that eventually pulls her surviving sister into a dangerous pursuit of the truth.
