Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural thriller A Haunting in Venice directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Branagh himself, Kyle Allen, Tina Fey, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Jude Hill, Kelly Reilly and Michelle Yeoh. The film’s original music is composed by Hildur Guđnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl, Women Talking, Tar, Sicario: Day of the Soldado). Opening semi-wide in around 700 theaters is the stop-motion animated feature The Inventor written and directed by Jim Capobianco, co-directed by Pierre-Luc Granjon and starring Daisy Ridley, Marion Cotillard, Stephen Fry and Matt Berry. Alex Mandel (Your Friend the Rat, Super Giant Robot Brothers) has composed the film’s original score and songs. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring both score and songs today.
