Intrada Records has released a new soundtrack album for the 1994 thriller The River Wild directed by Curtis Hanson and starring Meryl Streep, David Strathairn, Joseph Mazzello, Kevin Bacon and John C. Reilly. The 2-CD set features the complete score from the Universal Pictures production written and conducted by Academy Award-winning composer Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Patton, The Planet of the Apes, Chinatown, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, L.A. Confidential), including 30 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as the end credits song The Water Is Wide performed by Cowboy Junkies on the first disc. The second disc features the first-ever release of the unused score composed and conducted by Oscar winner Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago, Dead Poets Society). Atticus Ross has been hired to score the upcoming crime drama Triple Nine. The film is directed by John Hillcoat and stars Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kate Winslet, Anthony Mackie, Aaron Paul, Teresa Palmer, Gal Gadot, Clifton Collins Jr and Norman Reedus. The movie centers around a gang of criminals and corrupt cops who plan the murder of a police officer in order to pull of their biggest heist yet across town. Matt Rook has written the screenplay. Keith Redmon (The Beaver), Bard Dorros (Fun Size) and Steve Golin (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Being John Malkovich) are producing the Worldview Entertainment and Anonymous Content production. ‘Galavant’ Soundtrack Released

Hollywood Records has released a full soundtrack album for ABC’s musical comedy Galavant. Possible Films Music will release a soundtrack album for the indie comedy Ned Rifle. The album features the film’s original music composed by the film’s director Hal Hartley. Ned Rifle is written, directed and produced by Hartley and stars Liam Aiken, Aubrey Plaza, Martin Donovan, Parker Posey, Thomas Jay Ryan and James Urbaniak. Republic Records will release a score album for the film adaptation of E.L. James’ bestselling novel Fifty Shades of Grey.
