Karibanna Content has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Free Color. The album features the film’s original music composed by Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra and Los Angeles Philharmonic music director Gustavo Dudamel (The Liberator), Nascuy Linares (Embrace of the Serpent, Luxor), Devendra Banhart (Joshy, Arkansas), Alvaro Paiva Bimbo and Sebastián Arvelo. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. Free Color is directed by Alberto Arvelo and centers on late Carlos Cruz-Diez, one of the most prominent and influential Kinetic-Optic artists of our time. The movie follows the maestro as he takes on the most daring project of his creative life in his twilight years.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the romantic drama All My Life directed by Marc Meyers and stars Jessica Rothe, Harry Shum Jr, Kyle Allen, Jay Pharoah, Chrissie Fit, Marielle Scott and Keala Settle. ‘Once Upon a Time in Venezuela’ Soundtrack Details
Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Once Upon a Time in Venezuela. The album features the film’s original music composed and performed by Nascuy Linares (Embrace of the Serpent, Luxor, Los silencios). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list. Once Upon a Time in Venezuela directed by Anabel Rodríguez Ríos was shot over seven years and focuses on the Venezuelan fishing village of Congo Mirador, a once prosperous commercial and social hub that has spiraled into chaos and violence, reflecting the political climate that has ravaged the South American country in recent years.
‘Luxor’ Soundtrack Details
Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the drama Luxor. The album features the film’s original music composed and performed by Nascuy Linares (Embrace of the Serpent, Los silencios, Once Upon a Time in Venezuela). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 6 and is now available for pre-order here. Luxor is written and directed by Zeina Durra and stars Andrea Riseborough, Karim Saleh, Michael Landes and Shereen Reda. The movie follows a British aid worker who returns to the ancient city of Luxor, where she comes across a talented archeologist and former lover and struggles to reconcile the choices of the past with the uncertainty of the present.
‘The Whistler: Origins’ Soundtrack to Be Released
Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the Venezuelan horror thriller The Whistler: Origins (El Silbon: Origenes). The album features the film’s original music composed and performed by Nascuy Linares (Embrace of the Serpent). The soundtrack will be released this coming Friday, January 11 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. The Whistler: Origins is directed by Gisberg Bermudez and follows a father as he struggles to discover the origins of the Whistler’s curse to save his daughter from being gradually possessed by the supernatural creature.

Opening in most theaters is the biblical drama Risen directed by Kevin Reynolds and starring Joseph Fiennes, Tom Felon, Peter Firth and Cliff Curtis. The film’s original music is composed by Roque Banos (The Machinist, In the Heart of the Sea, Evil Dead, Sexy Beast, Oldboy). Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last week. ‘Embrace of the Serpent’ Soundtrack Announced
Plaza Major Company will release a soundtrack album for Embrace of the Serpent. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nascuy Linares. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 22, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Embrace of the Serpent is directed by Ciro Guerra and centers on Karamakate, an Amazonian shaman and the last survivor of his people, and the two scientists who, over the course of 40 years, build a friendship with him. The drama, which was Columbia’s entry for this year’s Best Foreign Language Film category at the Academy Awards, premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight and will be released in select U.S. theaters on February 12 by Oscilloscope Labaratories.
