Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC drama The Rapture. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, The Tourist, The Widow, Baptiste, Ripper Street, Miss Austen, Primeval, The Assassin, The Serpent, The Confessions of Frannie Langton). The Rapture is written by Bryony Kimmings & Rebecca Manley based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Liz Jensen and stars Ruth Madeley, India Amarteifio, Sam Hazeldine, Stephen Campbell Moore, Iwan Rheon, Lisa Palfrey, Jack Farthing, Siena Kelly, Dean Rehman, Naby Dakhli, Robert Rhodes, Richard Elis and Ruth Jones. The series follows a grieving child psychologist recovering from a car crash left her paralyzed who takes a job working in a maximum-security juvenile facility, where she meets the unit’s most disturbed patient who was found guilty of murdering her mother and claims to possess psychic powers. The 5-part psychological thriller is premiering in the UK tonight on BBC One and will also be available to stream on the BBCiPlayer.
