Nathaniel Mechaly is composing the music for the upcoming psychological thriller Shut In. The film is directed by Farren Blackburn (Hammer of the Gods) and stars Naomi Watts, Oliver Platt, Charlie Heaton, David Cubitt and Jacob Tremblay. The movie follows a widowed child psychologist who lives in isolation in rural New England and must find a way to rescue a young boy caught in a deadly winter storm. Christina Hodson has written the Blacklist-honored screenplay for the EuropaCorp and Lava Bear Films production. Paul Englishby has been hired to score the upcoming Netflix original series The Crown. The show is created by Peter Morgan (The Queen, Rush, Frost/Nixon) and stars Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II, Matt Smith as Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh, Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret and John Lithgow as Winston Churchill. The 10-parter is based on Morgan’s play The Audience and centers on the interplay and political intrigue between Queen Elizabeth II and the British prime ministers spanning several decades. Sony Music has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC natural history documentary The Hunt. The album features the series’ original music composed by Academy Award winner Steven Price (Gravity, Fury, The World’s End, Attack the Block) performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra under conductor, Geoffrey Alexander. The soundtrack will be released overseas on November 13, 2015 and is now available as an import on Amazon. The Hunt is executive produced by Alastair Fothergill (Blue Planet, Frozen Earth, Planet Earth), produced by Huw Cordey (Planet Earth, South Pacific) and centers on the relationship between predators and their prey. Star Fly LLC announced today that John Moreland is set to compose the music for the upcoming drama Boomtown. The film is directed by Sabyn Mayfield and stars Tyler Riggs, Boyd Holbrook, Rachel Brosnahan and Jocelin Donahue. The movie is set in Williston, North Dakota, home of the modern day Gold Rush and follows a man who leaves his family behind to pursue a grueling, yet highly coveted, job in a now booming oil industry.
