Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1978 thriller sequel Jaws 2 directed by Jeannot Szwarc and starring Roy Scheider. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, E.T.) who previously scored Steven Spielberg’s original 1975 film in the series. The 2-CD set features the composer’s complete score, as well as alternate cues on one disc and the content of the original 1978 soundtrack album on the second disc. Craig Armstrong has been tapped to score the upcoming drama Me Before You. The film is directed by Thea Sharrock (The Hollow Crown: Henry V) and stars Emilia Clarke, Sam Claflin, Janet McTeer, Brendan Coyle, Matthew Lewis, Samantha Spiro, Vanessa Kirby, Jenna Coleman, Charles Dance, Stephen Peacock and Ben Lloyd-Hughes. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Jojo Moyes and follows a woman in a small town who forms an unlikely bond with a recently paralyzed man she’s taking care of. Hans Zimmer European Live Tour Announced

Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer has announced his first live tour. The concerts will feature a 20-piece studio band, alongside singer Lebo M (The Lion King, The Power of One), as well as an orchestra and choir. The tour will kick off in London on April 6, 2016 and will be taking in 18 cities, including Birmingham, Brussels, Hamburg, Berlin, Paris, Munich, Krakow, Bratislava, Prague, Zurich, Budapest, Vienna and Sofia in total for the following six weeks. Michael Giacchino Scoring Disney’s ‘Zootopia’

Michael Giacchino is currently composing the music for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming feature Zootopia. The film is directed by Byron Howard (Tangled, Bolt) & Rich Moore (Wreck-It-Ralph) and features the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Jenny Slate and Tommy Chong. The movie is set in a civilization led by animals devoid of human interference, complete with habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown. The details of the soundtrack album for the drama The 33 have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Braveheart, Apollo 13). Also included are two songs by Cote de Pablo and Los Bunkers. The soundtrack will be released on November 6, 2015 by WaterTower Music and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips.
