Expanded ‘Jaws 2’ Soundtrack Announced

jaws-2Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1978 thriller sequel Jaws 2 directed by Jeannot Szwarc and starring Roy Scheider. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by John Williams (Star WarsRaiders of the Lost ArkJurassic ParkSchindler’s ListE.T.) who previously scored Steven Spielberg’s original 1975 film in the series. The 2-CD set features the composer’s complete score, as well as alternate cues on one disc and the content of the original 1978 soundtrack album on the second disc. craig-armstrongCraig Armstrong has been tapped to score the upcoming drama Me Before You. The film is directed by Thea Sharrock (The Hollow Crown: Henry V) and stars Emilia Clarke, Sam Claflin, Janet McTeer, Brendan Coyle, Matthew Lewis, Samantha Spiro, Vanessa Kirby, Jenna Coleman, Charles Dance, Stephen Peacock and Ben Lloyd-Hughes. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Jojo Moyes and follows a woman in a small town who forms an unlikely bond with a recently paralyzed man she’s taking care of. Hans Zimmer European Live Tour Announced

hans-zimmer-liveAcademy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer has announced his first live tour. The concerts will feature a 20-piece studio band, alongside singer Lebo M (The Lion KingThe Power of One), as well as an orchestra and choir. The tour will kick off in London on April 6, 2016 and will be taking in 18 cities, including Birmingham, Brussels, Hamburg, Berlin, Paris, Munich, Krakow, Bratislava, Prague, Zurich, Budapest, Vienna and Sofia in total for the following six weeks. zootopiaMichael Giacchino is currently composing the music for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming feature Zootopia. The film is directed by Byron Howard (TangledBolt) & Rich Moore (Wreck-It-Ralph) and features the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Jenny Slate and Tommy Chong. The movie is set in a civilization led by animals devoid of human interference, complete with habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown. the-leisure-classPremiering tomorrow, November 2, is the film created on the current season of HBO’s Project Greenlight, The Leisure Class, directed by Jason Mann, executive produced by Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Bobby & Peter Farrelly and starring Ed Weeks, Tom Bell, Bridget Regan, Scottie Thompson, Melanie Zanetti, Christine Lakin, Rory Knox Johnston, Brenda Strong and Bruce Davison. The comedy’s original music is composed by Brian Byrne (Albert Nobbs, Boychoir, Jenny’s Wedding, The Good Doctor). rush-hourThe composer duo of WAZ-Jackson is composing the music for the upcoming CBS drama Rush Hour. The show is based on Brett Ratner’s film franchise starring Jackie Chan & Chris Tucker and stars Justin Hires, John Foo, Wendie Malick, Aimee Garcia, Page Kennedy and Jessika Van. burntOpening in most theaters is the drama Burnt directed by John Wells and starring Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Omar Sy, Daniel Brühl, Matthew Rhys, Uma Thurman, Emma Thompson, Alicia Vikander and Lily James. The film’s original music is composed by Rob Simonsen ((500) Days of SummerThe Spectacular NowThe Age of AdalineFoxcatcher). No soundtrack album has been announced. Alexis & Sam to Score ‘Equity’

The film is directed by Meera Menon and stars Anna Gunn, James Purefoy, Carrie Preston, Sarah Megan Thomas and Alysia Reiner. The movie centers on a female investment banker who is threatened by a financial scandal and must untangle a web of corruption, forcing her to re-examine the rules of the cutthroat world she has always loved. The first track, Waiting for My Moment, is written by the film’s composer Ludwig Goransson (CommunityFruitvale StationNew GirlWe’re the Millers), the movie’s director Ryan Coogler, rapper Vince Staples, and Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino. ‘The 33’ Soundtrack Details

the-33The details of the soundtrack album for the drama The 33 have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner James Horner (TitanicAvatarA Beautiful MindBraveheartApollo 13). Also included are two songs by Cote de Pablo and Los Bunkers. The soundtrack will be released on November 6, 2015 by WaterTower Music and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The 33 is directed by Patricia Riggen and stars Antonio Banderas, Rodrigo Santoro, Juliette Binoche, James Brolin, Lou Diamond Phillips, Bob Gunton and Gabriel Byrne. The movie tells the true story of the 2010 mining disaster in Chile, where 33 miners had been buried alive by the catastrophic explosion and collapse of a 100-year-old gold and copper mine.
