François Tétaz (The Surfer, Wolf Creek, Hesher, Rogue, Judy & Punch, Beast of War, The Portal) is scoring the upcoming Australian Netflix original series My Brilliant Career. The show is developed by Liz Doran (Barons) based on the classic novel of the same title by Miles Franklin and stars Philippa Northeast, Christopher Chung, Anna Chancellor, Genevieve O’Reilly, Kate Mulvany, Alexander England, Jake Dunn, Sherry-Lee Watson and Miah Madden. The 6-part period drama tells the story of a writer who breaks every convention of 1900 Australia as she chases a story that could write her way to independence, until she falls in love. Doran is also executive producing the project with Jungle’s Chloe Rickard (Good Cop/ Bad Cop, Population 11), as well as Alyssa McClelland who also directed the first three episodes. My Brilliant Career will premiere on August 13, 2026 exclusively on Netflix.
