Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the Australian Netflix original series My Brilliant Career. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by François Tétaz (Wolf Creek, Hesher, The Surfer, Rogue, Beast of War, Judy & Punch, The Portal). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 13 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first two tracks below. A separate album featuring the songs from the drama will also be released tomorrow. My Brilliant Career is developed by Liz Doran based on Miles Franklin’s classic novel of the same name and stars Philippa Northeast, Christopher Chung, Anna Chancellor, Genevieve O’Reilly, Alexander England, Kate Mulvany, Sherry-Lee Watson, Jake Dunn and Miah Madden. François Tétaz (Hesher, Rogue, Wolf Creek, Judy & Punch, The Portal) has provided the original score for the upcoming psychological thriller Surfers. The film is directed by Lorcan Finnegan (Vivarium, Nocebo) and stars Nicolas Cage, Julian McMahon, Nicholas Cassim, Alexander Bertrand, Miranda Tapsell, Justin Rosniak, Finn Little, Rahel Romahn and Charlotte Maggi. The movie follows an man who returns to Australian hometown after living years in the U.S., when he is humiliated in front of his teenage son by a group of local surfers who claim ownership over the secluded beach of his childhood and is brought to the edge of his sanity.
‘Judy & Punch’ Soundtrack Released
Rubber Records has released a soundtrack album for the Australian comedy drama Judy & Punch. The album features the film’s original music composed by Francois Tétaz (Wolf Creek, Hesher, Rogue, The Portal) . The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. A vinyl edition is also in the works. Judy & Punch is written and directed by Mirrah Foulkes and stars Mia Wasikowska, Damon Herriman, Terry Norris, Gillian Jones, Benedict Hardie, Tom Budge and Lucy Velik. The movie revolves around two puppeteers as they are trying to resurrect their marionette show in an an anarchic town on the brink of mob rules.

Two new movies are opening wide this weekend:
The 3D horror thriller Priest directed by Scott Charles Stewart and starring Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Lily Collins and Christopher Plummer is opening in almost 3000 theaters. Also opening nationwide is the comedy Bridesmaids directed by Paul Feig, produced by Judd Apatow and starring Kirsten Wiig, Rose Byrne, Maya Rudolph and Jon Hamm. The film’s score is written by Michael Andrews. A soundtrack album, featuring twelve songs from the film, as well as one score track by Andrews has been released by Relativity Music.
