The full details of the soundtrack album for the animated feature My Little Pony: The Movie have been revealed. The album features the songs from the film performed by the film’s cast, the original song Rainbow by Sia (which will be available to download tomorrow), as well as track by DNCE, Lukas Graham, CL, Jessie James Decker, Rachel Platten & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on September 22, 2017 by RCA Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. My Little Pony: The Movie is directed by Jayson Thiessen and features the voices of Emily Blunt, Kristin Chenoweth, Liev Schreiber, Michael Peña, Sia, Taye Diggs, Uzo Aduba and Zoe Saldana. Andrew Kawczynski has recently recorded his music for the upcoming Chinese war action drama Sky Hunter. Hans Zimmer serves as the score producer. The film marks the directorial debut of actor Li Chen who also stars in the movie alongside Fan Bingbing, Wang Qianyuan, Li Jiahang and Leon Lee. The movie follows an elite air force who are called into action to resolve a hostage crisis and foil a terrorist plot. Jianmin Lv (Wolf Warrior) is producing the project. Music Box Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the score from for the period drama The Young Karl Marx composed by Alexei Aigui and performed by the Russian State Symphony Cinema Orchestra. Also included is the composer’s music from the documentary I Am Not Your Negro, which was released digitally earlier this year by Lakeshore Records. The Young Karl Marx is co-written and directed by Raoul Peck and stars August Diehl, Stefan Konarske and Vicky Krieps. Mark Isham has composed the music for the upcoming Black Mirror episode Arkangel. The episode is directed by Jodie Foster and stars Rosemarie Dewitt, Brenna Harding and Owen Teague. Isham has previously collaborated with Foster on her directorial efforts, Home for the Holidays and Little Man Tate. The album features classic songs from the 70’s by Linda Ronstadt, The Allman Brothers, Walter Murphy, as well as tracks by Townes Van Zandt, Louis Clark and The Royal Philharmonic & more. La-La Land Records has released a new remastered soundtrack album for Paramount Pictures’ 2004 sci-fi/fantasy adventure Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow directed by Kenny Conrad and starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law and Angelina Jolie. The album features the film’s expanded score composed by Edward Shearmur (Charlie’s Angels, Cruel Intentions, Johnny English, Reign of Fire), including over an hour of previously unreleased music.
