Treasure Hunters: On the Tracks of Khufu is directed by Barbara Schulz and stars Fabrice Luchini, Julia Piaton, Gavril Dartevelle, Johann Dionnet and Camille Japy. The movie follows an archeologist with unorthodox methods who embarks on a quest to solve the mystery of the treasure of Khufu that was discovered during Napoleon’s wars in Egypt and hidden secretly somewhere in Paris.

The movie is based on the best-selling novel of the same title by Vanessa Springora about a 14-year-old girl who fell for and was sexually abused by a 50-year-old acclaimed writer.

The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and was released in French theaters last month.
