The Null Corporation will release a soundtrack for Jonah Hill’s directorial debut Mid90s. The 4-track EP features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Patriots Day). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 19 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Republic Records has released the first song from the soundtrack for the animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The track, entitled Sunflower, is performed by Post Malone & Swae Lee. The details of the soundtrack album for drama Boy Erased have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (The Gift, Ozark, Enemy, Martha Marcy May Marlene, Fear the Walking Dead). Also included is the original song Revelation performed by Troye Sivan & Jónsi (who also co-wrote the track with Leland) and another song by Jónsi. Johann Johannsson Named Film Composer of the Year at 2018 World Soundtrack Awards

Johann Johannsson was named Film Composer of the Year at the 18th World Soundtrack Awards, tonight’s closing event of the 45th Ghent Film Festival. Among the late composer’s final scores released over the last year were Mandy, Mary Magdalene (co-scored with Hildur Guðnadóttir who accepted the award on his behalf) and The Mercy. He previously received the award last year in the same category. Tamar-kali received her first World Soundtrack Award in the Discovery of the Year category for her score from Dee Rees’ drama Mudbound. Ramin Djawadi was honored as TV Composer of the year for his work on HBO’s Game of Thrones & Westworld and FX’s The Strain. The movie centers on a conservative talk radio host who finds his world turned upside down when his 16-year-old niece comes crashing into his life. Will Reichel wrote the screenplay. ‘True Stories’ – The Complete Soundtrack to Be Released

Nonesuch Records will release a new soundtrack album for the 1986 cult classic True Stories directed by David Byrne and starring Byrne himself, John Goodman, Swoosie Kurtz and Spalding Gray. The movie’s complete soundtrack featuring both the songs by Talking Heads and the movie’s score composed by Byrne, as well as tracks by Terry Allen & The Panhandle Mystery Band, Carl Finch, Esteban “Steve” Jordan and Banda Eclipse will receive its first CD and digital release on November 23, 2018.
