Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the Movistar+ original Spanish crime drama Hierro. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Xavi Font (Gun City, The Apostle) & Elba Fernández. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Hierro is created by Pepe Coira, directed by Jorge Coira and stars Candela Peña and Darío Grandinetti. The show is developed by Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith (Legally Blonde, 10 Things I Hate About You), Amy Andelson & Emily Meyer (Step Up 3D)  based on Smith’s YA novel of the same title and stars Brianna Hildebrand, Kiana Madeira, Quintessa Swindell. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Expected to top the weekend box office is the animated sequel The Secret Life of Pets 2 directed by Chris Renaud and starring Kevin Hart, Patton Oswalt, Lake Bell, Hannibal Buress, Harrison Ford and Tiffany Haddish. Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, The Good Shepherd, Enough Said) is composing the original music for the upcoming Showtime limited series The Loudest Voice. The show is based on the bestselling book The Loudest Voice in the Room by Gabriel Sherman and stars Russell Crowe as Roger Ailes, Naomi Watts, Sienna Miller, Seth MacFarlane, Simon McBurney and Annabelle Wallis. The 7-part drama explores how Ailes became the Republican Party’s de facto leader, while touching on the sexual harassment accusations that brought his Fox News reign to an end. The show is developed by Mindy Kaling & Matt Warburton (The Mindy Project) based on the 1994 feature of the same title and stars Zoe Boyle, Nathalie Emmanuel, Guz Khan, Sophia La Porta, Harish Patel, Nikesh Patel, John Reynolds, Rebecca Rittenhouse and Brandon Mychal Smith. The comedy follows four American friends who reunite for a fabulous London wedding, but – after a bombshell at the altar throws their lives into turmoil – they must weather a tumultuous year of romance and heartbreak. Grammy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Pharrell Williams has recorded an original song for the new Netflix documentary The Black Godfather. Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the Child’s Play reboot. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day, Outlander).
