Nathaniel Mechaly (Taken, The Grandmaster, Colombiana, Shut In) is composing the music for the upcoming TV series Shadowplay. The show is created by Måns Mårlind (Underworld Awakening, The Bridge) and stars Taylor Kitsch, Michael C. Hall, Nina Hoss, Sebastian Koch, Tuppence Middleton, Logan Marshall-Green and Mala Emde. The thriller follows an American cop who arrives in Berlin in the summer of 1946 to help create a police force in the chaotic aftermath of the war. Composer Stephen James Taylor is reteaming with director Richard Tanne on the upcoming coming-of-age drama Chemical Hearts. The film is written and directed by Tanne and stars Lili Reinhart and Austin Abrams. The movie is based on Krystal Sutherland’s novel Our Chemical Hearts and follows a 17-year-old high school student who has never been in love and focuses of his attention on finally becoming the editor of his high school newspaper until he he meets a transfer student on the first day of his senior year. HOWE Records will release a soundtrack album for the French family fantasy adventure The Lost Prince (Le prince oublié). Idina Menzel and a group of vocal performers for Elsa from countries around the world sang the Kristen Anderson-Lopez- & Robert Lopez-written Into the Unknown from Disney’s Frozen II, Chrissy Metz performed the Diane Warren-penned I’m Standing with You from Breakthrough, Randy Newman performed his song I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away from Pixar’s Toy Story 4, Cynthia Erivo performed Stand Up (which she co-wrote with Joshuah Brian Campbell) from Harriet and Elton John performed his Oscar-winning song (I’m Gonna) Love Me Again (co-written with Bernie Taupin) from Rocketman.
