‘Cold Courage’ Soundtrack Album to Be Released

The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Lasse Enersen (The Unknown Soldier, Legend of the Ancient Sword, Tom of Finland). Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1984 drama The River directed by Mark Rydell and starring Sissy Spacek, Mel Gibson and Scott Glenn. The album features the expanded original score from the composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, Schindler’s List, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone) who received an Academy Award nomination for his work. The releases includes a remastered version of the original 1984 soundtrack album, as well world premiere release of full the original soundtrack recording, including around 20 minutes of previously unreleased material. John Williams in Vienna Concert Album Announced

Deutsche Grammophon has announced the concert album John Williams in Vienna. The album features the the live recordings of the Hollywood legend’s Vienna Philharmonic 2020 debut. The composer shared the stage with violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter. Among the titles features on the release are Star Wars, Harry Potter, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, E.T. the Extra-Terrestria’, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jaws, Schindler’s List, Hook, War Horse, The Witches of Eastwick, Far and Away and The Adventures of Tintin. The album will be released on August 14, 2020. Premiering on Wednesday, May 6, is the Netflix documentary Becoming directed by Nadia Hallgren and produced by Katy Chevigny, Marilyn Ness & Lauren Cioffi about the life of former First Lady Michelle Obama as she embarks on a 34-city tour. The film’s original music is composed by jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington. Premiering on Friday, May 8, is the Netflix limited series The Eddy created by Jack Thorne and starring André Holland, Joanna Kulig, Amandla Stenberg, Leila Bekhti and Tahar Rahim. Glen Ballard (The Polar Express) and Randy Kerber (The Color Purple) have composed the show’s original music. Arista Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ songs from the drama on Friday.
