Atlantic Screen Music/Filmtrax has released a soundtrack album for the action thriller Fast Charlie. The album features the film’s original music composed by Fil Eisler (Empire, Outer Banks, Revenge, How to Be Single, Thunder Force, UnReal, Superintelligence, The Titan). Fil Eisler Scoring Phillip Noyce’s ‘Fast Charlie’
Composer Fil Eisler (Empire, Outer Banks, UnReal, How to Be Single, Thunder Force, Superintelligence, The Titan) is reteaming with director Phillip Noyce (Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger) on the upcoming action thriller Fast Charlie. The film starring Pierce Brosnan, James Caan & Morena Baccarin follows a hitman who sets out to avenge his aging mob boss friend after he is assassinated by a rival mob. Richard Wenk (The Equalizer, The Magnificent Seven) wrote the screenplay based on the crime novel Gun Monkeys by Victor Gischler.
Remastered and Expanded ‘Clear and Present Danger’ Soundtrack Album Announced
La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1994 action thriller Clear and Present Danger directed by Phillip Noyce and starring Harrison Ford, Willem Dafoe, Anne Archer and James Earl Jones. The album features the remastered and expanded original score from the Paramount Pictures production composed and conducted by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Glory, Field of Dreams, Braveheart, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan), including previously unreleased music. The 2-CD set is limited to 2,000 copies and will be available to order on the label’s official website at 12:00pm today.
‘The Desperate Hour’ Soundtrack Album Details
Gardener Recordings will release the official soundtrack album for the thriller The Desperate Hour. The album features the film’s original music composed by Fil Eisler (Empire, Revenge, How to Be Single, Thunder Force, Superintelligence, Outer Banks, UnReal). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 25 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. The Desperate Hour is directed by Phillip Noyce, written by Chris Sparling and stars Naomi Watts as a a recently widowed mother who is doing her best to restore normalcy to the lives of her young daughter and teenage son in their small town and finds her town thrown into chaos as a shooting takes place at her son’s school and she desperately races against time to save her son.
Fil Eisler to Score Phillip Noyce’s ‘Lakewood’
Fil Eisler (Revenge, Empire, How to Be Single, UnReal, Superintelligence, Proud Mary, CHiPs) has been hired to score the upcoming thriller Lakewood. The film is directed by Phillip Noyce (Clear and Present Danger, Dead Calm, Salt) and stars Naomi Watts as a mother who desperately races against time to save her child as authorities place her small town on lockdown. Chris Sparling (Buried, Greenland) wrote the screenplay. Zack Schiller (Jane Got a Gun, The Babysitter) and David Boies are producing the project with Watts, Dylan Sellers (Footloose, Passenger 57) & Chris Parker (Palm Springs), Andrew Corkin (A Vigilante, Mercy), as well as Sparling & Alex Lalonde.
‘Sliver’ Score Album Announced
La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere release of the original score from the 1993 thriller Sliver directed by Phillip Noyce and starring Sharon Stone, William Baldwin and Tom Berenger. The album features the original music from the Paramount Pictures production composed by Academy Award winner Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Aviator, The Silence of the Lambs, Hugo). Also included are four bonus tracks of additional music by Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, The Hurricane, Drag Me to Hell). Dickon Hinchliffe Scoring Phillip Noyce’s ‘Above Suspicion’
Dickon Hinchliffe has recently recorded his score for the upcoming thriller Above Suspicion. The film is directed by Phillip Noyce (Salt, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger) and stars Emilia Clarke, Jack Huston, Thora Birch, Johnny Knoxville, Luke Spencer Roberts, Sophie Lowe, Kevin Dunn, Chris Mulkey, Karl Glusman, Austin Hebert, Omar Benson Miller, Brian Lee Franklin and Brittany O’Grady. The movie is based on the book of the same title by New York Times columnist Joe Sharkey and tells the story of a newly married FBI poster boy who is assigned to an Appalachian mountain town in Kentucky, where he is drawn into an illicit affair with an impoverished local woman who becomes his star informant.

Sony Classical will release a score album for the sci-fi drama The Giver. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Beltrami (Scream, World War Z, The Wolverine, 3:10 to Yuma). The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 12, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A physical version is set to come out on September 9 (click here to pre-order the CD). As previously reported, Marco Beltrami (World War Z, The Wolverine, Scream) is providing the film’s original score. The film is directed by Phillip Noyce and stars Brenton Thwaites, Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep, Alexander Skarsgard, Taylor Swift, Cameron Monaghan, Odeya Rush and Katie Holmes. The movie is based on the YA novel by Lois Lowry and follows a young boy who is selected for his life service as the Receiver of Memories and works with an old man who teaches him to use his unique gifts of the senses. Michael Mitnick has written the most recent version of the screenplay. Nikki Silver is producing the project with Neil Koenigsberg (A Walk on the Moon) and Bridges. The project marks Beltrami’s first collaboration with Noyce. The director has previously worked together with such composers as James Horner (Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger), James Newton Howard (Salt), Howard Shore (Sliver) and Craig Armstrong (The Bone Collector).
