Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the South African Netflix original series Umthetho. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Joel Assaizky (Marked, Vaya, White Wedding, Soon Comes Night). Umthetho is based on the streamer’s Brazilian series Brotherhood (Irmandade) and stars Nqobile Nunu K.H., Given Stuurman, Tony Kgoroge, Ernest Msibi, Lorcia Cooper, Molefi Monaisa, Sthembiso Khoza, Sindi Dlathu, Mandla Gaduka and Sello Ramolahloane. The crime drama produced by Black Brain Pictures follows an idealistic state prosecutor who is pulled into a brutal prison syndicate led by the brother she thought she lost, forcing her to choose between justice and family, law and survival, truth and betrayal. The series is premiered earlier this month and is now available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
