Chris Westlake (Castle Rock, Before We Go, Small Town Crimes, Transit, Midnighters) is the composer of the new Hulu original series Solar Opposites. The show is created by Justin Roiland (Rick & Morty) & Mike McMahan and features the voices of Roiland himself, Sean Giambrone, Thomas Middleditch and Mary Mac. The animated comedy centers around a team of four aliens who escape their exploding home world only to crash land into a move-in ready home in suburban America. Element Pictures has released a soundtrack album for the BBC/Hulu limited series Normal People. The album features the show’s original music composed by Stephen Rennicks (Room, Frank, The Little Stranger, What Richard Did, Rebellion, Birthmarked). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Normal People is written by Sally Rooney & Alice Birch based on Rooney’s New York Times best-selling novel of the same name and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal. The drama produced by Lenny Abrahams revolves around the complicated relationship of Marianne and Connell from the end of their school days in a small town in the west of Ireland to their undergraduate years at Trinity College. Opening in virtual theaters today is the documentary Capital in the Twenty-First Century directed by Justin Pemberton and based on the international bestseller by French economist Thomas Piketty. The film’s original music composed by AIR’s JB Dunckel (K.O., The Summer of Sangaile, Cyprien). Prototype Recording has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score in March. Also opening in virtual theaters before premiering on VOD on June 2 is the documentary The Infiltrators directed by Alex Rivera & Cristina Ibarra about a group of young immigrants who get detained by Border Patrol, and put in a shadowy for-profit detention center – on purpose. tomandandy (The Strangers, Resident Evil: Retribution, The Mothman Prophecies, The Rules of Attraction) have composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival, is being released by Oscilloscope Laboratories. Ram Khatabakhsh (The Hunger Games Exhibition, Portals, Transformers Autobots) has signed on to score the upcoming thriller Alphas. The film is directed by Steven Quale (Into the Storm, Final Destination 5, Aliens of the Deep) and stars Sam Worthington as an environmentalist who is tasked with finding a natural solution to the shark problem after the local Great White population spirals out of control and must convince the owner of a killer whale sanctuary to unleash the orca that nearly killed her when she was attacked by the star of her own show. Soundtrack Album for Amazon’s ‘ZeroZeroZero’ Released

Mogwai (The Returned, Kin, Before the Blood) have released their score for the Sky Atlantic and Amazon original series ZeroZeroZero. The album is now available on Bandcamp for one week exclusively on a pay-what-you-can basis with half of proceeds going to Help Musicians and NHS charities. The album will be available to stream/download on Amazon later this month. ZeroZeroZero is created by Stefano Sollima, Leonardo Fasoli & Mauricio Katz based on the novel of the same title by Roberto Saviano and stars Andrea Riseborough, Dane DeHaan and Gabriel Byrne. The crime drama traces the global cocaine trade by following one shipment on its journey around the world. The details of the new soundtrack album for the HBO original series My Brilliant Friend have been revealed. The album features selections of the music from the second season of the show composed by Max Richter (The Leftovers, Ad Astra, Mary Queen of Scots, Hostiles, Waltz with Bashir, Miss Sloane, Taboo). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 1 by Deutsche Grammophon and will be availabl to stream/download on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from Season 1. My Brilliant Friend based on the bestselling books by Elena Ferrante is co-written and directed by Saverio Costanzo and stars Elisa Del Genio, Ludovica Nasti, Margherita Mazzucco and Gaia Girace. La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere score album release for the 1999 superhero action comedy Mystery Men directed by Kinka Usher and starring Ben Stiller, Janeane Garofalo, Hank Azaria, Claire Forlani, Eddie Izzard, Greg Kinnear, William H. Macy, Kel Mitchell, Lena Olin, Paul Reubens, Geoffrey Rush, Wes Studi and Tom Waits. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Quills, Proof, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin), as well as additional music by Shirley Walker (Final Destination, Memoirs of an Invisible Man, Batman: The Animated Series).
