Music.Film Recordings & Lakeshore Records have released a soundtrack album for the ITV series The Ipcress File. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Tom Hodge (The Mauritanian, McMafia, Pump, Je Suis Karl, Rise of the Nazis). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. The Ipcress File is written by John Hodge based on the novel of the same name by Len Deighton and stars Joe Cole, Lucy Boynton, Tom Hollander and Ashley Thomas. The 6-part spy thriller is set in the 1960s amid the atmosphere of the Cold War and follows a British army sergeant on the make in Berlin whose interests bring him into contact with everything and everyone – until the law catches up with him and it all comes crashing to a halt.

Tom Hodge Scoring ITV’s ‘The Ipcress File’

‘Je Suis Karl’ Soundtrack Released
Minority Records has released a soundtrack album for the German drama Je Suis Karl. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Hodge (The Mauritanian, McMafia) & Floex (aka Tomáš Dvořák). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on most major digital music platforms. Je Suis Karl is directed by Christian Schwochow and stars Luna Wedler, Jannis Niewöhner, Milan Peschel, Edin Hasanović, Anna Fialová, Marlon Boess, Victor Boccard, Fleur Geffrier, Aziz Dyab, Mélanie Fouché and Elizaveta Maximová. The movie revolves around a woman who – after most of her family is murdered in a terrorist bombing – is unknowingly lured into joining the very group that killed them.

Opening in theaters nationwide today and also premiering on HBO Max is the drama Judas and the Black Messiah directed by Shaka King and starring Daniel Kaluuya, LaKeith Stanfield, Dominique Fishback, Ashton Sanders, Jesse Plemons and Martin Sheen. The film’s original score is composed by Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, Miracle, A River Runs Through It) & Craig Harris. Also out now is a separate album featuring an original song by H.E.R. as featured in the movie, as well as other songs inspired by the film (click here for more information).
Also opening wide is the drama Land directed by Robin Wright and starring Wright herself, Demián Bichir and Kim Dickens. Ben Sollee (Maidentrip) and the string trio Time for Three. have composed the film’s original music. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the score, as well as a song written and performed by Daniel Toshian today. ‘The Mauritanian’ Soundtrack Album Details
Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the drama The Mauritanian. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Hodge (McMafia, Rise of the Nazis, The Man Behind the Microphone). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 12 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music store. The Mauritanian is directed by Kevin Macdonald and stars Jodie Foster, Tahar Rahim, Zachary Levi, Saamer Usmani, Shailene Woodley and Benedict Cumberbatch. The movie is based on th NY Times best-selling memoir Guantanamo Diary by Mohamedou Ould Slahi and tells the true story of Slahi’s fight for freedom after being detained and imprisoned without charge by the U.S. Government for years.

Tom Hodge (McMafia, Rise of the Nazis, The Man Behind the Microphone) has composed the original score for the upcoming thriller The Mauritanian. The film is directed by Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland, Touching the Void) and stars Tahar Rahim, Jodie Foster, Shailene Woodley, Benedict Cumberbatch and Zachary Levi. The movie is based on Mohamedou Ould Slahi’s memoir Guantánamo Diary and centers on detainee at the U.S military’s Guantanamo Bay detention center a who languishes in prison for years without charge or trial until he finds allies in a defense attorney and her associate. Michael Bronner, Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani (Informer) wrote the screenplay.

The label has previously released a digital single featuring the show’s main title theme. The 8-parter is inspired by Misha Glenny’s best-selling book of the same title and tells the story of Alex Godman, the English-raised son of Russian exiles with a mafia history, and his family.

The track is written by the show’s composers Tom Hodge and Franz Kirmann and is performed by the London Contemporary Orchestra. The theme has been released overseas as a digital single, which also features the composers’ track He’s Home, and is now available to download in the British iTunes store.
