The full details of the soundtrack album for James Mangold’s Logan have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (Scream, World War Z, Hellboy, The Hurt Locker) who previously composed the music for Mangold’s The Wolverine and 3:10 to Yuma). Logan starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Lakeshore Records to Release ‘Logan’ & ‘Ghost in the Shell’ Soundtracks
Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the comic book movie Logan directed by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Dafne Keen. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Beltrami (Scream, World War Z) who previously scored Mangold’s The Wolverine and 3:10 to Yuma. The soundtrack will be released in early March. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version. The label will also release the soundtrack for the sci-fi adventure Ghost in the Shell directed by Rupert Sanders and starring Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbaek, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche and Michael Pitt. The album features the film’s score composed by Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, The Fountain) and will be released on March 31.

Marco Beltrami to Score James Mangold’s ‘Logan’
Director James Mangold confirmed on Twitter that Marco Beltrami is currently scoring the upcoming Wolverine sequel Logan. The film starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Dafne Keen follows an an aging Wolverine and Professor X must protect a young female clone of Wolverine from an evil organization led by Nathanial Essex. Simon Kinberg (X-Men:Days of Future Past & Apocalypse, The Martian, Cinderella) and Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men series, Deadpool, Constantine) are producing the project. No word yet on whether any music composed by Cliff Martinez who was originally hired to score the movie will be featured in the film.
Marco Beltrami & Dennis Smith to Score History’s ‘Six’
Marco Beltrami and Dennis Smith have been hired to score the upcoming History original series Six. The show is created by William Broyles (Cast Away, Apollo 13, The Polar Express) & military special operations veteran David Broyles and stars Walton Goggins, Edwin Hodge, Dominic Adams, Brianne Davis, Nadine Velazquez, Jaylen Moore, Donny Boaz and Nondumiso Tembe. The military drama follows the Navy SEAL Team Six, whose 2014 mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working as a jihadist fighter with the terrorists.
‘Scream 2’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD club series. Among the new titles is a deluxe edition soundtrack for Wes Craven’s 1997 horror sequel Scream 2 starring Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Jamie Kennedy, Liev Schreiber, Timothy Olyphant, Jerry O’Connell and Laurie Metcalfe. The album features the complete original score composed and conducted by Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, The Wolverine, World War Z, The Hurt Locker) who also scored the other installments in the series, including more than 50 minutes of previously unreleased music. Also included are Danny Elfman’s Cassandra Aria and Cassandra Reprise composed for the movie. Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD Club series. Among the titles is a deluxe edition soundtrack for Guillermo del Toro’s 2004 feature Hellboy starring Ron Perlman, John Hurt, Selma Blair and Doug Jones. The 2-CD set features the expanded score from the film composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, The Wolverine, World War Z, Scream series, The Hurt Locker), including more than an hour of previously unreleased music.. The soundtrack is limited to 3000 copies and is now available to pre-order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples and check out the full album details.
Marco Beltrami to Score Angelina Jolie’s ‘First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers’
Marco Beltrami revealed in a recent interview with Film Score Monthly Online that he is scoring the upcoming Netflix original movie First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers. The film directed by Angelina Jolie is based on the non-fiction book by Loung Ung, a Cambodian author and survivor of the Pol Pot regime, and tells the story of her experiences and the horrors she suffered under the rule of the deadly Khmer Rougee. Jolie is also producing the project with Rithy Panh (The Missing Picture).

Opening in most theaters is the animated feature Kubo and the Two Strings directed by Travis Knight and featuring the voices of Charlize Theron, Art Parkinson, and Ralph Fiennes, George Takei, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Brenda Vaccaro, Rooney Mara and Matthew McConaughey. The film’s original music is composed by Dario Marianelli (Atonement, The Boxtrolls, Pride and Prejudice, V for Vendetta) has composed the film’s original music. Warner Bros. Also opening wide is the action comedy War Dogs directed by Todd Phillips and starring Jonah Hill, Miles Teller, Ana de Armas and Bradley Cooper. Cliff Martinez (Drive, Contagion, Traffic, The Neon Demon, The Lincoln Lawyer) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a soundtrack album. War Dogs follows two friends in their early 20s during the Iraq War who exploit a little-known government initiative that allows small businesses to bid on U.S. Military contracts. The details of the soundtrack album for the epic historical drama Ben-Hur have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marco Beltrami (World War Z, Scream, 3:10 to Yuma, The Wolverine, The Shallows). The soundtrack will be released on August 5, 2016 by Sony Classical and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Ben-Hur is directed by Timur Bekmambetov and stars Jack Huston, Toby Kebbell, Rodrigo Santoro, Ayelet Zurer, Sofia Black D’Elia, Nazanin Boniadi and Morgan Freeman.
