Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Simple as Water. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hanan Townshend (Knight of Cups, To the Wonder, Blue Miracle, Outcry, Semper Fi, The Book of Vision). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, January 14 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Simple as Water directed by Megan Mylan (Lost Boys of Sudan, Smile Pinki) was filmed over the course of five years in five countries including Turkey, Greece, Germany, Syria and the US and explores the impact of war, separation, and displacement and takes audiences into Syrian families’ quests for normalcy and building a new life.

Saunder Jurriaans & Danny Bensi (Ozark, Boy Erased, The Gift, Enemy, The White Tiger, The Devil All the Time, Martha Marcy May Marlene) are the composers of the new BBC limited series The Girl Before. The show is written by JP Delaney based on his best-selling novel of the same title and stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, David Oyelowo, Jessica Plummer and Ben Hardy. The 4-part psychological thriller tells the story of a woman who gets the chance to move into a beautiful, ultra-minimalist house designed by an enigmatic architect, with just one catch: the occupants must abide by his list of exacting rules.

Soundtrack Album for HBO Max’s ‘South Side’ Released
Comedy Central Records has released the first soundtrack album for the HBO Max original series South Side. The album features selections of the show’s second season composed by Daniel Crawford (Hair Love). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. South Side is created by Diallo Riddle, Bashir Salahuddin & Sultan Salahuddin and follows two friends (portrayed by Sultan Salahuddin himself and Kareme Young) who are ready to take over the world, but until they do, they’re stuck working at Rent-T-Own.
